Cascading Combo Box

I know there are many threads on Comboboxes but after reading many of them, I'm not sure that there is one exactly like mine.  I'd like to at least put this out there so someone can point me in the right direction or possibly help me with my situation.

Example Problem:

Data Source:  '[dbo].[TenHunThou]' (SQL Database from Azure)

Names of combo boxes:  Combobox1; Combobox2

When selected, Combobox1 should only provide three options to choose from which are: Tens, Hundreds, Thousands

Here is an example of the table: '[dbo].[TenHunThou]'

Category	Type
Tens	10
Tens	20
Tens	30
Hundreds	100
Hundreds	200
Hundreds	300
Thousands	1000
Thousands	2000
Thousands	3000

The column names are: Category; Type

The functionality I am seeking, would be for Combobox2 to show all nine values if I select all three values in Combobox1.

The furtherthest I can get, is when the last item is selected in Combobox1, regardless of how many of the three items you select, will only show values from that last item picked.  So, if I pick Hundreds first and Tens second, then I will only see the three values for Tens in Combobox2.

If someone could be so kind to assist me with the code that would alleviate this problem, it would help me greatly.

Here is an example of a formula you can use.  The ".Result" may need to be changed based on how Combobox1 is configured.

Combobox2 > Items: 

Filter( '[dbo].[TenHunThou]', Category in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Result)

Thank you so much for your help.  So far my Combobox1 & Combobox2 Item's Property looks like this respectively:

Distinct('[dbo].[TenHunThou]',Category)

Filter('[dbo].[TenHunThou]', Category = Combobox1.Selected.Result)

It isn't working like I'd like it to.

Does this code have errors in it compared to the functionality I need?

Change the "=" in the formula to "in"

Filter('[dbo].[TenHunThou]', Category in Combobox1.Selected.Result)

Good Morning Jeff,

Thanks so much for helping me work through this.  Changing the "=" to "in" didn't change the behavior of Combobox2, the behavior remained the same just like having an "=".  It still only shows the values from the last item you pick from Combobox1.  So if I choose Tens then Hundreds in Combobox1, it will only show me values from Hundreds when choosing from Combobox2.  I'd like for Combobox2 to populate all six options from choosing Tens & Hundreds in Combobox1 which would be 10, 20, 30, 100, 200, 300.

Hi @Proseries 

Can you try to update the Combobox2 Items as:

Filter('[dbo].[TenHunThou]', Category in Combobox1.SelectedItems.Result)

Note: Combobox1.SelectedItems.Result contains a list of all the selected values in the Combobox1 control. Please make sure you have enable Multiple Selections on Combobox1.
