Change toggle if user is in a people picker in a SharePoint list

Hello All,

I have a custom sharepoint list form. In that form I need it to check if the current user is listed in a people picker in a different SharePoint list, if they are I want to switch a toggle from defaulted no to yes, then populate person field in the custom form called  'Approver' of that specific user's approver. I have been able to set the datasource but no idea how to build that funtionality.

Is this possible? If so, how would I do that?

I appreciate any an all advice on this.

Hello @v-qiaqi-msft ,

I have 2 lists, one with the custom form and another called Non Standard Approver which has 3 people picker columns, ,Requestor (which I want to compare with the current user that has opened the form in the first list and 2 other people picker columns (with presence, no multiple selections)

 All three columns have matching columns of the same name in the form as well as the Datasource connection to the form with the Non Standard Approver list.

So you want to check if the current user exists in the Requestor column in Approver list, if so, populate the Requestor column in the form and then populate the approver column based on the mapping infomation from the Approver list, right?

1). Set the Items property of the ComboBox corresponding to the Requestor in the form as below:

Choices(FormList.Requestor)

2). Set the DefaultSelectedItems property of the ComboBox corresponding to the Requestor in the form as below:

If(User().Email in ForAll(ApproverList.Requestor,Requestor.Email),Office365Users.SearchUser({searchTerm:User().Email}).Mail)

That's kind of what I'm trying to do only I am trying to populate a person field (combobox) called Approver1 that is is my custom SharePoint form with the approver of the requestor that has opened the form, providing that person is in the list called Non Standard Approvers. So based off the image below If Shane opens the form in new mode the Approver1 (combobox) will populate with Stewarts name. Alternatively, if I open the form in new mode nothing will populate. If I open the form Shane initiated in edit mode the the for will still have Stewarts name in it.

I hope that makes sense.

I attempted to get the Approvers in a collection, my configuration is as such;

App OnStart property

Collect(Approver1List, 'Non Standard Approver')

Form OnVisible property;

Set(StatusVar, Blank());Set(myself, User());
ClearCollect(
    Approver1List,
    Filter('Non Standard Approver', Requestor.DisplayName=DataCardValue28.Selected.DisplayName))

Approver1 person field (ComboBox) in PowerApp Items property;

Approver1List

Approver1 person field (ComboBox) in PowerApp DefaultSelectedItems property;

If(User().Email in ForAll('Non Standard Approver'.Requestor,Requestor.Email),Approver1List.Aprover1)

But the Approver1 person field (ComboBox) in PowerApp is still empty (image below) even thought the Requestor column in the list is the same as DataCardValue28.Selected.DisplayName

I can't figure out how to populate this column with the respective Requestor's approver.

Anyone know where I'm going wrong? Any ideas how to fix this.
