Checkbox Filter Problem

Good morning, 

I'm new in power apps and I have a problem.

I've created column called Building with selection options Building1, Building2, column Floor with selection options 1 Floor, 2 Floor, 3 Floor [...] and column Rooms with selection options, where there is checkbox in this style: Building 1 - 1 Floor - Room1, Building 2 - 3 Floor - Room4, Building2 - 2 Floor - Room5 etc. 

In my power apps im added Building datacard, Floor datacard, Room datacard.

I want to filter Rooms datacard with selected value of Building column and Floor column.

I've create formula, but it didn't work: 

Filter(Choices([@'My data'].'Rooms');DataCardValueA.Selected.Value & " - " & DataCardValueB.Selected.Value & "-")

Is it possible to filter like that? 

If not do you have any other proposition/solution?

Hi @pbadmin,

I'm a little confused by your description above, can I just check this is what you want? 

Your Room selection should be based on the selected building and floor? Like this?

Building 2 - Floor 3 - Room 1

Building 2 - Floor 3 - Room 2

Building 2 - Floor 3 - Room 3

Building 2 - Floor 3 - Room 4

Building 2 - Floor 3 - Room 5

What type of column is your Room selection? How do you know how many rooms there are? If Rooms is a choice column, you can't save the description 'Building 2 - Floor 3 - Room 4' back to this column because it isn't a valid choice.

A CheckBox control is a single option so you'd need a dropdown to select multiple options?

Building column is checbox with below options to choose:

Floor column is checkbox with below options to choose:

Rooms column is checbox with below options: 

I have about 50 - 60 options in Room checkbox options which are unique for example Building called Czujka has only ground and 1 floor and room called BHP which is not in Iskra building so I want to make filter to have in check box options filtered by value of Buliding column and Floor column.

Yes, I see. The way you are doing this isn't ideal because the text of 'Rooms' must exactly match the text of Building and Floor. 

If I were doing this I would have a table called Rooms like this:

Building, Floor, Room
B1,       F1,    R1
B1,       F1,    R2
B1,       F2,    R1
B1,       F2,    R2
B1,       F3,    R1
B1,       F3,    R2
B2,       F1,    R1
B2,       F2,    R1
B3,       F1,    R1
B3,       F2,    R1
B3,       F3,    R1

Then use the Distinct() function to create your dropdown options. Your dropdown Items for building would be:

Distinct( Rooms, "Building")

The you'd filter the next dropdown based on the first:

Distinct( Filter( Rooms, Building = BuildingDropdown.Selected.Value), "Floor")

You see how this works?

I have something like that now:

And it's ok. 

But I have to ask one more question:
How to reset Poziom and Pomieszczenie after change Hala and reset Pomieszczenie after change Poziom.

I tried OnChange - Reset(DataPoziomValue & DataPomieszczeniValue), but it doesn't work.

The & operator is used to join strings, you can't use it in this way. You need to just have 2 separate Reset() commands:

Reset(DataPoziomValue);
Reset(DataPomieszczeniValue);

That's perfect. Don't know why, but need to use two semicolon.
