I have Combo Box for selecting item (one not multiple) from SharePoint list which has 2.800 records (items).
When I set Items on name of list I get yellow triangle (delegation) and i see only 500 items. The same situation is when i Collect all items from list and for Item of combo box set collection name.
If i understand documentation, combo box don’t have limit and collection too. Why i have delegation limit and see only 500 items in both situations?
Hi @Anonymous,
Could you please share a bit more about the formula within the Items property of the Combo Box control?
Do you use Delegable functions in your formula within the Items property of the Combo Box control?
Based on the issue that you mentioned, I think you have faced a Delegation issue (yellow triangle warning) with the formula you typed within the Items property of the Combo Box control.
More details about the Delegation issue in PowerApps, please check the following article:
If you have faced a Delegation issue with the formula in your app, it means that you could not delegate the processing of data to the data source, instead, you could only process your data locally.
In addition, if you have faced a Delegation issue with your formula, you could only process 500 records at most locally in default. You could also consider change the Non-delegable limits into 2000 (maximum value). More details about changing the Non-delegable limits, please check the following article:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/delegation-overview#changing-the-limit
Currently, there is no official doc mentioned about the records limit in Combo Box control. The user @BerylQ and @Babalaul have faced same issue with you, please check the responses within the following threads:
https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/General-Discussion/ComboBox/td-p/75402
In any case, if you want to load more than 500 records within your Combo Box control, you would have to limit yourself to using delegable functions.
Best regards,
Kris
Hi @v-xida-msft
I don’t have any formula in Items property, just set
Items=Klijent.NazivKlijenta
SearchFields=Klijent.NazivKlijenta
Klijent (liost of customers) is name of SharePoint list, and NazivKlijenta (name of customers) is text field in the list.
If I understud correctly, SharePoint support Delelegation, and that means my datasource (which support delegation) will collect dates for me and send ALL datasets to my pa.
But I don’t have any query (any delegation or non-delegation formulas) just ask PA to get all date from sharepoint. When I set delegation limit to 2.000 i received 2.000 items.
I am having the same issue. I can't find any documentation about item limits for a Combo Box, and SharePoint Lists are supposed to be a delegable source. This doesn't make sense why the combo box, set to "SourceListName".ColumnName will only pull in 2000 items.
I have run into the same issue with combo box and drop down box.
It appears these controls are doing some type of "collect items" in the background to put the items in the list which therefore sets a delegation limit.
The combo box does let you search which means you can find all the records but it doesn't help if the user doesn't know what to search for.
Add another to this not working with a SharePoint list datasource. I'm posting in numerous threads trying to find a solution. ...and even if you have the combobox allow searching (in my case) the search results in the combobox only show the first 500 records. As with others I'd appreciate any documentation showing this is not supported for SharePoint lists... or someone showing how it's working on a SharePoint list for them.
I've yet to find a thread where someone says they are successfully doing this with SharePoint. Excel, SQL, yes, but not SharePoint.
