DIsplaying Attachment

Hi,

Can someone help? I have a custom form in my SharePoint list using PowerApps. I have set the required properties of attachment filed in to TRUE so that it will require the user to include attachment. There are cases where, even if the user added the attachment and proceeded with submission, when displaying the form of the item they had submitted, the attachment was lost. What could be the reason? One thing I assume is that the attachment content is null. Do you have any idea what else could be the reason for this?

Also, is it possible to display the attachment even if the content is null?

Hi @v-mengmli-msft ,did you try to attach file without content? The validation is after the submission. For example you have a text file, but when you open, no data. Try to attach it in SP List custom form using power apps, the formula works only to check if there is a file attached to it or none.

so as you can see, the submit button enabled since there is a file attached, but when submitted, it will disappear and not recorded in the SP list.

but when the file has content, it will be saved.

I tried it, but I found that the results are only valid relative to the txt file. For txt files, you can use formulas to determine whether there is data in the file. Since users may upload multiple types of files, for other types of files, they will come with a lot of original data which is different from txt file, so it is difficult to determine a standard of data size to measure whether it is empty.

Did you create the form from powerapp or integrate from sharepoint? I've tested playing with my form from edit to new upload, change back to edit > data appear unsaved in attachment datacard but it does submit to sharepoint. 

But when I change back from new to edit, attachment attached without Unsaved note but data did not submitted to sharepoint at the first try (jpg,png,pdf,txt), the second time test does appear. Even picture control image does not submitted. Perhaps you might need to recreate all of them
