Data inside my local collection is not displaying

I have a data collection app that field members are using out in the field to collect data for a list of samples and i'm having trouble with displaying some data located in a local collection. 

For each unique sample_ID, users will get to a screen where they enter a series of lengths and widths as measurements. Each sample can have up to 3 "footprints" and each footprint has a length in feet, a length in inches, a width in feet, and a width in inches (See attached photo). 

My app is running offline so I've created 2 local collections, "col_LocalFootprint" and "col_LocalFootprintChanges". Everything that gets changed on this screen gets stored in the "col_LocalFootprintChanges" collection until the user does a "data upload" when there is an internet connection. When the user does the data upload, it patches all the records from the "col_LocalFootprintChanges" collection into a SharePoint list, and then the SharePoint list is refreshed and a ClearCollect is used fill up the "col_LocalFootprint" collection with all the up-to-date records from that SharePoint list.

This is the code that is written for the "On Change" property of all the text boxes where users can input measurements.

So when a user enters a measurement, this is the following process:

1. Check the SharePoint list and check the col_LocalFootprintChanges collection to see if a record for this sample_ID exists.

2. If a record exists, it will create a record in the col_LocalFootprintChanges collection with a change type of "e" for edit.

3. If NO record exists, it will create a record in the col_LocalFootprintChanges collection with a change type of "a" for add.

4. For either scenario, the col_LocalFootprintChanges will use the SaveData function to make sure no data is lost if the app is closed.

This all works correctly and records get edited or added to the SharePoint list when the data upload is done.

Also, after the data upload is done, the correct numbers are displayed in each of the measurement text boxes. 

However, my problem arises before the data upload is done. Say I entered the number 5 in each of the text boxes. Then I decide to switch to a different sample_ID and record some numbers, when I select the original sample_ID again, and before the upload, it seems like all of my numbers disappear. The weird thing is though, that even though they are now blank when I do the data upload, they will still get patched through to the SharePoint list correctly. 

Here is the code that I used on the "Default" property of the first text box that records the feet measurement of Footprint 1.

 It checks to see if there is a record stored in the "col_LocalFootprintChanges" collection and if there is one, it will call for that one to be displayed since it would be the most up-to-date value. If the FootprintChanges collection is empty for this sample_ID, it will call the value from the "col_LocalFootprint" collection that contains the value from the SharePoint list. If there is no record there either, it should display 0 or nothing.

I'm so confused why the data doesn't display in some boxes or displays values from a different sample_ID when I switch between sample_ID's even though the correct numbers are still there in the collection and upload to sharepoint correctly as well. I would appreciate any insight on this matter! Thank you!
