Deep link keeps going to home page

Hi all,

Currently I have a sharepoint list that is automatically adding data as soon as an user submits a form. Now I am trying to get a deep link working in where an user can e-mail the link to a shared mail account. I followed the exact steps as per below video, however by clicking on the button/link in the e-mail it keeps going to the HomeScreen of the App. Was wondering if you are able to assist on what I do wrong?

App - OnStart:

Hi @Sebastiaan1 ,

First question - do you have this turned on 

and if so, when you go to App OnStart, are you seeing any errors.

The next thing you need to look at is the URL actually sent when this fails as your HTML structure also seems correct.

Thank you very much for the help, indeed the function Enable Navigate on App.Start is on. The only error is as follow: 

URL is sent accordingly and it triggers the ID that is linked on the sharepoint page.

App OnStart is indeed missing a closing bracket - should be as below

@WarrenBelz that seems to work indeed, thank you! 

The only issue now is that once the url is clicked, the information has been reviewed and the app is closed and started again via the normal channels the app goes directly to the information being displayed earlier rather than the homepage.  Any idea how to solve that?

You need to look at how you are "starting via normal channels" as it seems your original URL must still be in this -you can try this

   );
   Navigate('Detail Screen'),
   Navigate(YourNormalScreen)

but it all comes down to the content of the launching process.

I did try the code in the onstart, but no chances. I had a look in the start process but cannot find any issues. Tried to build another test app from scratch, but resulting in the same issue?

As a test put a label on your Home screen with varID on it and see if it has the value you set (after you publish and launch it (BTW I assume you have published the app before you tried it). That way you can eliminate whether it is the passing of the variable or the navigation logic that is the issue.

@WarrenBelz Indeed, I have published the app before trying. Just added a label on the home screen with varID and no ID is showing also when I select a record no ID will show as, I added the varID as well to see if it shows anything. However as soon as I e-mail the record and click on the link it will show the ID.

Not sure what you mean by the last bit, can you please post the URL you are trying to open the app with (change some Power Apps id bits to xxxx, but leave the structure there). If varID is not showing on the label in the test, it is not being passed properly (although what you have seems correct)
