Deleting Calendar Event by Id

I've created a calendar event in by app and stored they id of the event in my SharePoint list using:

I now want to delete this event from my app. If I use the DataCardValue19.Text, where I stored EventId, then copy and paste that value like this:

"AAMkAGE4YzFmYzFlLThmYTMtNGM2ZC1hYmU1LTA1N2RiYmRiY2I2ZQBGAAAAAAAe810XSW-8SLBN1sYd72p2BwCEAgog9LWESp-VhmdCfCeAAAAAAAENAACEAgog9LWESp-VhmdCfCeAAALSXqAYAAA=");

Then my event deletes fine. But if I try to directly use DataCardValue19.Text, it throws an error that CalendarDeleteItemV2 has an invalid value for parameter 'event'.

Office365Outlook.CalendarDeleteItemV2(LookUp(Office365Outlook.CalendarGetTables().value, DisplayName = "Calendar").Name,
DataCardValue19.Text);

 What am I missing?

What's your patch formula? (The formula to save the value of the variable to the list)

What column of the list do you save this id? Is it a Text column?

What's DataCardValue19? Is it a label control?

This is a strange phenomenon. I think there is no problem with your formula.

I did a similar test for you and cannot reproduce your problem.

Please try this formula:

Office365Outlook.CalendarDeleteItemV2(LookUp(Office365Outlook.CalendarGetTables().value, DisplayName = "Calendar").Name,
Substitute(DataCardValue19.Text,"""",""));

Could you provide more information ? (such as some images)

Maybe the problem lies in the information you did not provide.

I reproduced the error.

Have you created an event ,closed the app and reopened it?

If so, the value of the variable will become blank.

Is this caused by your problem? Please check it.

I'll do my best to explain exactly what I did. I only started learning PowerApps 2 days ago, so I'm new to this.

My list has column called EventId.

When I create a calendar event from my create screen, I use a form which includes the column for EventId. I use this code to set a variable "EventId" to the id of the event as I create it:

Then in the form, I set the Default in the EventId field to the variable EventId:

You can tell that this worked because when you go to the details for that event, you can see the correct event Id. I also did a test with a label where I set the value to DataCardValue19.Text and that shows the same value. I created multiple events and they each have different ids, so I assume this is working correctly.

I can even see that the value is not blank in my code to delete the event:

And...after writing this super detailed post, I discovered the issue! I need to do the delete calendar event BEFORE the delete list item... Once I switched the order, it worked just fine.
