Detect if any changes were made

Hello,

I have a formula:

If(IsBlank(DataCardValue11.Text);Notify("Musisz wskazać nazwę propozycji.";NotificationType.Error);
If(IsBlank(DataCardValue18.Selected.Value);Notify("Musisz wybrać przynajmniej jedną nazwę kategorii.";NotificationType.Error);
If("Zmiana Legislacyjna" in DataCardValue18.SelectedItems.Value && IsBlank(DataCardValue22.Text);
Notify("W przypadku wybrania pola kategoria 'Zmiana legislacyjna' należy uzupełnić dodatkowe pole dotyczące zmiany przepisu.";
NotificationType.Error);
If(Len(DataCardValue19.Text) < 79;Notify("W polu opis zmiany należy wprowadzić minimum 80 znaków.";NotificationType.Error);
If(IsBlank(DataCardValue9.Selected.Value);Notify("Musisz wskazać zasięg zmiany.";NotificationType.Error);
UpdateContext({variableDefault:" "});UpdateContext({showDialog:true;variableDefault:""}))))))

This formula is placed on button - it has a lot of verification, and then if all is correct it set showDialog to true - this shows popup do you really want to save?

My problem is that this popup will be shown even if no changes were made. And saving means a lot in my app (It delete a lot of data - reset likes etecera).

Is it possible to detect if changes were made? Or even set button inactive if there are no changes?

Data card default value of Category is:

ThisItem.Kategoria

In my app this multi selection works perfectly. I set Sharepoint field to multi and allowed multi choice in app.

I did it with a help of forum users:

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Power-Apps/Choice-sharepoint-field-change-to-radio/m-p/...

It also saved well to Sharepoint list like that: Choice1,Choice2. 

Logic in my app is simple - it is a category of change - and a category of change can be either law change, it change, organisational change, user request change etecera.

Some changes maybe be categorised in more than one category.

So that is why the error occurs. Since it allows multiple selection, both the combo box selected value and gallery selected category field value are tables.

Modify that line's formula to:

Set(varChange2;If(Concat(DataCardValue18.Selected;Value)=Concat(Gallery1.Selected.Kategoria;Value);0;1));;Set(varOperate2;1)

Concat both table values to single line texts to be evaluated in if statement.

😞 I tried it in many variations.

Set(varChange2;If(Concat(DataCardValue18.Selected.Value)=Concat(Gallery1.Selected.Kategoria.Value);0;1));;Set(varOperate2;1)

Invalid amount of argument x2 Received 1 expected 2-3

This is version in which I used Selected.Value and Kategoria.Value (with dot)

Now your function:

Set(varChange2;If(Concat(DataCardValue18.Selected;Value)=Concat(Gallery1.Selected.Kategoria;Value);0;1));;Set(varOperate2;1)

Invalid type of argument.

Concat has invalid arguments

Name was not recognized

Set(varChange2,If(Concat(DataCardValue18.SelectedItems;Value)=Concat(Gallery1.Selected.Kategoria;Value),0,1));;Set(varOperate2;1)

I however have a trouble in using it with a single choice dropdown, as it spams error.

Set(varChange5;If(Concat(DataCardValue9.SelectedItems;Value)=Concat(Gallery1.Selected.Zmiana_dotyczy;Value);0;1));;Set(varOperate5;1)

Zmiana_dotyczy is a single choice dropdown.

Errors: Invalid type of argument, Function concat got invalid argument, Value is not recognized name.

Is there a workaround for a single choice function?

I tried this, but it shows invalid type of argument received 1 and exptected 2-3.

No need to Concat a single value. So the formula would be:

Set(varChange5;If(DataCardValue9.Selected.Value=Gallery1.Selected.Zmiana_dotyczy.Value;0;1));;Set(varOperate5;1)

Note that many people have found the Form.Unsaved property to be extremely unreliable. For example, if ANY of your cards are unlocked, the Form.Unsaved property will ALWAYS return true. It is best to avoid this option.
