Dropdowns not always updating on Edit form

Hi, im currently working on my first Canvas app, and most have been going fine, but i have ran into some issues in my edit gallery.

My PowerApp have a gallery that gets data from a AzureDB. On the gallery i have a button that takes me to an Edit form, which contains the values of the selected item in the gallery. All good so far. However occasionally the four dropdown values in the Edit gallery will not update thier values, and will instead just show the 1. value on the dropdown. This is an issue, because if i haven't seen that the values haven't updated and i click Save (Gem), then all the dropdown values will get changed to the 1. value in the AzureDB. 

Probly because of the way i reference the data. The dropdowns have been made what i would call the normal way, which is through the edit fields option on the Form and then specified the column value on the items itself. All good here. Where i think the problem might come in is, because i have changed the Default value of the dropdowns. The reason i have done this is because the values in the AzureDB used for the dropdowns is given by ID's rather than acual values. So instead of showing the values 1,2,3,4... in the dropdowns, i have made a lookup in the Default value, that refferences to another table, making the dropdowns show acual values. The Default value goes like this:

LookUp('[dbo].[tbl_OrderType]';OrderTypeID = Parent.Default;Name)

This seems to work 99% of the time, but sometimes the dropdown values don't update, when i navigate to the Edit form, the rest of the values do. Do anyone know of a reason why this might occur and how to fix it?

What is your Update property and Default property on the DataCard for your Order Type field and dropdown?

So, everything looks correct.  Is the issue in any way predictable? Or is it completely random?

I would also consider (if you can reproduce the issue to any degree) to put a label in that datacard with the Parent.Default in the Text property.  That way you can at least determine if it is getting the value correctly from the record.  That will determine which part of the equation to try and troubleshoot.

Ye, i have tried to troubleshoot it, but i have only been able to get it myself once. However other users of the app have tried it a few times. I am unsure what could cause it. Thought maybe it could be because of bad connection during the navigation, causing the dropdowns not to update. I really don't know 😕

Well, I would try to put the work out to help troubleshoot the issue.

One of the primary questions would be - when the dropdown shows the wrong value, are there "marching ants" at the top of the screen (the dots that cross over when PowerApps is working on data).  This would indicate that the LookUp is slow to get its value and, although the control shows the wrong value, if you wait long enough, it should eventually show the correct value.
