Emailing a user in a dropdown

Hello all,

I have a SharePoint Online data source and a canvas app. 
I have a dropdown with 4 names of users to select from.

When User1 completes the form and submits, I want to email the user User1 selected from the dropdown, but as the dropdown is not a person field, how can I email that user, and then allow that user to complete Part2 of the same form, as normally I would set the displaymode of part2 to be view if the currentuser was not the the user, User1 had selected. But not sure how i achieve this as its a dropdown with names of 4 users.

If you want to email the user who is completing the form, could you simply use this code to find the current user's email?  Then you could include it in another formula to actually send the Email.

Another idea is: you could use ComboBox and put this code in the Items property.

Table(
  {User: "User1", Email: "User1@yourcompany.com"},
  {User: "User2", Email: "User2@yourcompany.com"},
  {User: "User3", Email: "User3@yourcompany.com"},
  {User: "User4", Email: "User4@yourcompany.com"}
)

Then you could obtain the User's email with this code.

ComboBox1.Selected.Email

sorry i probably was not clear.

User1 is completing part1, sending him an email isnt an issue, it's when user1 makes a selection from 4 pre approved approvers, via a dropdown.

I dont know how I can email the user selected in the dropdown?

It appears the comboBox isnt writing the data back to SharePoint Online.

When I view my datasource, the field is empty, and when i view the item in Power Apps, again the data from the comboBox is empty.

Any ideas please?
