Error in DataCard Expected Record Value

Hi. I am new to powerapps and I followed one instruction on how to convert a dropdown option to checkbox using a collection. The dropdown has three options and only one can be selected. Below are the formulas. I am getting an error in DataCard Update. Please help.

OnCheck and Onuncheck Checkbox Formula

You do not need collection for that use Switch place below code and change names of checkbox to Yours

Switch(true,Checkbox2.Value,"Tier 1",Checkbox2_1.Value,"Tier 2",Checkbox2_2.Value,"Tier 3")

Just add Error handler if it come false with a msg to user and you are good to go

Hi Sebs. Thanks for the response.

Please explain which field should I apply it. I tried putting in Oncheck and Onuncheck however, the datacard does not update the value. Thanks in advance!

Place the code in Update property of the DataCard

I tried but I'm getting this error Expected Record Value. Tier_DataCard4.Update. I first applied it while the oncheck/onuncheck formula is retained then I removed the formula but the same error.

What is the column type in a SharePoint? a choice column ?

hi @SebS .

Yes, it is a choice column. And so, I converted it to a Single line of text. It worked! However, 
1.  Right now, I can click all of the checkboxes, but it only saves the first selected checkbox. How to limit the selection to one checkbox only?
2. Also, I will be using this formula for multiple selection. Please teach how to implement it.

There is fun way to restrict user from checking more than one box

In first box in the DisplayMode place

Switch(true,Checkbox1.Value,DisplayMode.Edit,Checkbox2.Value,DisplayMode.Disabled,Checkbox3.Value,DisplayMode.Disabled)

Second box

Switch(true,Checkbox1.Value,DisplayMode.Disabled,Checkbox2.Value,DisplayMode.Edit,Checkbox3.Value,DisplayMode.Disabled)

and last one

Switch(true,Checkbox1.Value,DisplayMode.Disabled,Checkbox2.Value,DisplayMode.Disabled,Checkbox3.Value,DisplayMode.Edit)

I hope you see the pattern You are leaving DisplayMode.Edit only on Checkbox what you are adding the code

And Switch is simple

Switch(1. Result <--- In this case when checkbox is true means checked, 2.Checkbox You verify, 3. and Text what You passing)  than You repeat 2 and 3 for each Box You adding

Switch(true,Checkbox1.Value,"Tier 1",Checkbox2.Value,"Tier 2",Checkbox3.Value,"Tier 3",Checkbox4.Value,"Tier 4",Checkbox5.Value,"Tier 5",Checkbox6.Value,"Tier 6")

And same will be for DisplayMode Switch command

Thank you very much! I am learning new things from you. 
Please help how to implement this for multiple selection checkboxes. I am able to select multiple checkboxes but once the form is submitted, it only records the first checked box. Appreciate your support. thanks a lot!
