Error with Creating a "Save Draft" Button

Hi everyone. I'm new to PowerApps and have been toying around with it's features. Currently, I created a request form and everything functions perfectly (I have the form linked to a Dataverse table). My issue is that I have been trying to make a functional "Save Draft" button for users to use if they do not have all the information on the form, so they can come back when they're ready. I have looked everywhere for a tutorial on it, and finally found one on YouTube ("Save as Draft in Power Apps Form" by Reza Dorrani). In the video, he had us use the function

UpdateContext({SubDraft:false});
SubmitForm('Request Form')

on the "Save Draft" button and had us use the function

UpdateContext({SubDraft: true});
SubmitForm('Request Form')

on the "Submit" button. He then had us use a Status column in our table and add it as a Data Card on the app. Under the Update property, he had us use

If(SubDraft,{Value:"Active"},{Value:"Inactive"})

as the function so the form knows when something is a draft (marked as inactive) and when the form is completed (marked as active). My issue lies with the fact that I keep receiving an error saying "The property on this control expects OptionSetValue values. The rule produces Record values which are incompatible". I then looked at my table and saw that the two choices (Active and Inactive) have values next to them, so I went ahead and changed Value: "Active" and Value: "Inactive" to Value: 0 and Value: 1. But it still gives me the same error. Would someone be able to point out what I'm doing wrong? Thank you for reading and assisting in anyway.

The reason it's expecting an "OptionSetValues" is because you're feeding a "Choice-type" column with the wrong kind of value.

Do you know which column it is referencing?

Also, if you need to save a boolean value in your SharePoint list, I suggest then using an actual "Boolean-type" column instead of "Choice-type".

Thank you for the quick reply (and sorry, I meant to click Reply and not Accept as Solution). It is referencing my "Status" column that has the choices of "Active" or "Inactive". I'm using a Dataverse table and not a Sharepoint List. Would a "Boolean-type" column just be the standard text column?

My bad, I believed you were working on a SharePoint list.

In Dataverse I don't think there is a "pure" boolean column, actually. The only solution is the option-kind of column, which should be similar to the "Choice-type" column from SharePoint.

What you're doing seems valid though. Could you show us the whole formula you're using to update the record please?

I only see the either the "Choice-Type" or "On/Off-Type" options for Dataverse.

I think I found a way to solve this.

In Power Apps, you should be able to reference your "Choice-type" column to use it's values. For example, the code below should work fine:

If(SubDraft, Status_New.Active, Status_New.Active)

Instead of giving it a record, I've found you can use the column's configured values as appropriate values. 

I tried with a "Patch()", but it should work as well with "SubmitForm()".
