Filter Gallery based on drop down selections on another Screen

Good Afternoon,

I have a screen called "SelectionScreen" and on it are two dropdowns that work together as such:

Dropdown 1:

Client Type

Sort(Distinct('[dbo].[tableContacts]',ContType),Result)

Dropdown 2:

Office

Distinct(Filter('[dbo].[tableContacts]',ContType =Dropdown_clientype.Selected.Result),ContOffice)

My first question is, the table has thousands of rows so when I use the Distinct function it is not delegable and does not pull all the unique values in the column which are (1,2,5) it only pulls (1,5) any alternative to that?

Second question and more importantly: I would like the selections made in the drop down boxes on SelectionScreen1 to filter the gallery I have on a Screen called "BrowseScreen1" , the gallery is called "ClientGalleryList"

For instance I make my selections in the drop down then click a button which takes me to the BrowseScreen1 and applies the selections to ClientGalleryList only showing records in the gallery which the dropdown selections reference.

Any solutions to make that happen?

If put a text input box on the same page as the two dropdowns, how would I write a formula to say essentially " If there is a number in the text input box, search the database and display that number in the gallery, otherwise use the drop down selections to filter the gallery"

Sorry I am not sure I undestand your intention

you want the display in the gallery the filtered datasource according to the dropdowns selection or in case there is a number in the textbox, forget about the dropdowns and filter database on a different criteria. Is this correct?

Yes exactly, filter the gallery data based on the dropdowns unless there is a number in the textbox.

If there is a number in that Client ID text box (ClientIDInputbox1) then filter the datasource in the gallery to pull that ID number, otherwise just filter the gallery based on the drop downs.

If that is not possible, is it possible to setup a searchbox on the same screen as the gallery that can search the client ID based on the textinputbox.

For instance, I make the drop down selections to filter the gallery and it returns the specific data, then above the gallery there is a text input search box that I can put in the client ID to then further filter the gallery data.
