Filter Text in Multiple Line of Text Column - IS This Possible??

Hi, hoping someone has come across and was able to find a solution.

Background: I am building (or trying to successfully till now) an app that will be used as a training platform. Throughout the app multiple sharepoint lists are use to fill in the content and images but the issue now lies in the last of the lists, lets call it 'DifficultList'.

The list contains 3600 rows and a large number of columns. 

I have been able to use ClearCollect to create a list that contains all the 3600 rows in my sharepoint list therefore making it easier to filter through without getting stopped by the 2000 delegation limit.

The list is called ListAll.  So far I am able to search for the training program name which is set as a variable SelectProgramme in the previous page and the gallery displays correctly. Filter(ListAll, SelectedProgramme in Programmes.Value) - is the formula used and working correctly.

Currently the view shows me the 'title' of each piece of training material linked to the programme name but i really need it to be filtered further by stage. The issue being the stage is in the multiple line of text column and its a bit confusing. An example of a single row in my sharepoint list is below. The initial number "0" indicates the programmeID and then the stage, section and order it lies in. There is multiple programmeIDs that make use of the material and the stage and sections can vary.

What I need to do is filter further using a multiple line of text column to find the programme ID and return the display on selection of a button 'stage 1' if it is stage one on the programme or stage 2/3.

It looks like you need to 'Shape' your multiline column into something you could use.  Can you show a screenshot of an example row, as I'm trying to determine whether you have presented the data in a JSON-like format or if it actually exists as JSON-like data.

OK so when I say 'Shape' the data, I mean in power apps rather than the data source.  Unfortunately, the photo you sent wasn't the full picture of the table so I've made some assumptions.

I'm assuming that each row is a discrete piece of content in your training programs (say a video) where the ProgramID refers to a course, essentially a string of pieces of content.  The discrete pieces are reused amount many courses and the Stage refers to part of the order in which that piece is presented.

That being the case you will need to create a new collection with the following format:

ContentID, CourseID, Stage.

The pattern for this would be something like:

Initialize a collection to store the results: ClearCollect(parsedResults, [])

For each row in the SharePoint column collect the ContentID

Then nest a for each as below:

For each row in the jsonText:
- Find the position of the first colon to extract the ProgramID.
- Find the position of the "Stage" key and extract the associated value.
- Add these values to the collection.

Display or use the `parsedResults` collection as needed.

Without understanding things a little deeper it would be difficult to give you specific code.
