Find value in EXCEL table and see result in APP.

Hello to all,

I wish you all happy Monday :-).

I have the following problem.
I created app with barcode scanner. User will read some barcode, show the barcode on the app and update excel table through automated flow.

In other part of the app I have three buttons. Each button should check that barcode value ("1231412") in the three different excel tables and show the result in the label.

This is formula which is working for checking the value in the table and getting result from different cell:

LookUp(Tabulka1;Cislo_Majetku=value.Text;'Evidováno ANO/NE:')

Tabulka1 - name of the table in EXCEL sheet

Cislo_Majektu - name of the column with value of barcode

Evidovano ANO/NE - name of the column from which I am getting correct result

And my problem now is that I do not know how to create correct formula into the button, so I can see the result in the empty label.

Anyone any ideas how to do it?

Try this :

LookUp(Tabulka1,Cislo_Majektu=scannedbarcodevalue.Text).Evidovano ANO/NE;

replace scannedbarcodevalue with your control name which shows scanned value "1231412"

Thank you for your fast reply.

There is no problem with formula.
I will try to explain it a little bit better :-).

My app has two steps.

First step:
- scan barcode

- show the barcode in app next to "Majetkové číslo:"

- automated flow find that barcode in Excel table and update cell next to it to "ANO"

Second step: (this one is the one I need help with)

- Click on button (based on the table - user will choose)

- that button will find that specific barcode in the excel table, which I still can see next to "Majetkové číslo:" from previous step in the App

- button will find value in the next cell (that cell was updated in the first step but automated flow) in the excel table and show the value in the label next to button in the app

So I need somehow click on the button, button will take the value from "Majetkové číslo:" in the app, find that value in EXCEL table in the specific column, show the result from cell next to it in the label next to button.

Small update.
I found one tip but it does not work for me. Maybe I am doing something wrong here .. 😕

I set up a button with OnSelect property with this formula:

Set(label1;LookUp(Tabulka1;Cislo_Majetku=value.Text;'Evidováno ANO/NE:'))

label1 - name of the variable

Tabulka1 - name of the table in the Excel

Cislo_Majetku - name of the column in the table in the Excel

value.Text - value which barcode scanner read in the first step

Evidováno ANO/NE: - name of the column in the table in the Excel. From this column I am trying to get value into label in the app

In the label I set up Text property with label1 variable.

There is no error in the app, it looks like it is doing something when I click the button but no result in the label :-/.
