ForAll dropdown field not patching to the list

Hi, 

I have produced a collection to capture data entered into certain fields. Now I am trying to submit to a list, but I am having issues with two data fields that are drop-down selections. at first I had issues with the sections being captured in the 'Collection" table, where it was just bringing back [object Object] but resolved that by adding .Selected.Value and that fixed the issue. but now I am trying to send it to the list via a submit button, it does not like any of the parameters for the two drop-down field that I have to pass through. All other fields work. 

This is my "onSelect" so far (still needs some final work around the thankyou and navigate, but that will be easy to do)

The above works, but as soon as I try to bring in the OwnedBy and Maintenancefrequency which is data from a drop down selection, it does not work, no matter what I try. I have tired .Selected  .Selected.Value  Value(OwnedBy.Selected)......

Hope someone can help out, happy to work with someone to see what the issue may be and what I am missing, thanks in advance

Sorry should have put a screen shot in for what I am trying to do.

 As you can see the data is captured in the below table via a collection function. Now what I am trying to do is patch the data to the list via the ForAll and Patch feature.

In your image, you appear to be missing a comma after OwnedBy?

Also, what field types are you trying to Patch OwnedBy and Maintenancefrequency to? Are these Single Line of Text fields?

They are a Choice Colums (single choice)

Sorry I should have also mentioned, yes there is no comma, as it was to show that as soon as I enter the OwnedBy field it has an error, no matter what I had to i.e. OwnedBy.Selected or OwnedBy.Selected.Value or Value(OwnedBy.selected) I have tried various different ways. I just must be missing something.

Ah ok.

It appears that you are trying to Patch Text to a Choice column, which is difficult to achieve. The simple solution is to capture the correct choices in your collection then it should all work. For example,

Owned by:

When adding to your collection, use

Collect(
...
OwnedBy: First(ComboBoxOwnedBy.SelectedItems)
...
)

To display OwnedBy in your galley, use this on your label

First(ThisItem.OwnedBy).Value

You can do the same for Maintenancefrequency.

You will need to adjust your column names to suit but the above should be what you need to solve this.

If I change the formula in the Collection section to the above it gives me back [object Object] 

But if I have OwnedBy: DataCardValue26.Selected.Value it works.

Are you displaying your collection using a DataTable or a Gallery? DataTable have some limitations and I'd avoid using them if you can.

I am displaying them as a data table as the Gallery does not capture all the fields in the one nice display.....
