Form Upload Error

I can't fix what's broke. Any ideas?

I get error message: Invalid number of arguments: received 5, expected 2 ' when I hover over the expression. Its my attempt at forcing the name of the file on the SP side to 'UnqID-CQYr-CQTitle'. That way the member can call it whatever they want and it won't impact query and filter on the database side while allowing the file to be recognizable to the eye in the library.

Set(varFileLink, CertsQualsUploader.Run(Last(DataCardValue44.Attachments).Name, varBase64Only,Value(DataCardValue11.Text),DataCardValue7.Text,NewCQFormTitleDD.Selected.ClassTitles).sharepointfilelink);

FullNm:LookUp(SFPrgrmMmbrsCollection,UnqID=DataCardValue7.Text).UnqID,CQYr:Value(DataCardValue11.Text),NewCQFormTitleDD.Selected.ClassTitles

The system will take this edited version just fine -

Set(varFileLink, CertsQualsUploader.Run(Last(DataCardValue44.Attachments).Name, varBase64Only).sharepoinfilelink);

Any thoughts?

Hi @Anonymous ,

Based on your flow's configuration, I think there is something wrong with it.  Are these 'UnqID', 'CQTitle', and DteofCQ columns from your SP List?

If you want to use these 'UnqID', 'CQTitle', and DteofCQ column value from your SP List, you must acquire them firstly in your flow. The ['UnqID'], ['CQTitle'] and [DteofCQ] are all invalid expression in your flow, which could not get any column value from your SP List, it would throw argument error in your concat functino.

If you want to get these 'UnqID', 'CQTitle', and DteofCQ column values, you could consider define these parameters in your flow, and then pass them from your canvas app. Or you could also consider add a "Get item" action in your flow, then specify the "Ask in PowerApps" dynamic content within the Id field as below:

2.JPG

then you could pass the Item ID value from your canvas app to your flow. And then within your flow, you could retrieve the specific List Item record based on the passed the Item ID value. After that, you could reference the column value from the "Get item" action in your concat expression.

Note: You need to remove the Flow connection from your canvas app, then re-create a new connection to your flow, to make the changes (e.g. define new parameters in your flow) you made to your flow take effect in your canvas app.

In your "Get file" action, you could use the following concat expression:

concat(outputs('Get_item')?['body/Department'], '-', outputs('Get_item')?['body/DueDate'], '.jpg')

Note: The outputs('Get_item')?['body/Department'] formula is used to retrieve the column value from above "Get item" action. You may need to try the following formula:

outputs('Get_item')?['body/UnqID']
outputs('Get_item')?['body/CQTitle']

...

...

Please try above solution, then check if the issue is solved.

I believe I may have gotten help determining part of the problem.

I renamed the UnqID column to "UnqID" after it was created. In the system the column is actually called 'Title'.

I will try your instructions with the above in mind and report back.

Thank you!

The 'UnqID', 'CQTitle', and 'DteofAwrd' are fields available to the Power Apps form (and in the SP List).

The button initiating the flow is in the Power Apps form referenced above and only fires once an attachment is in the attachment control.

The User can name their file anything they'd like. When they attach and upload the flow should rename the file after the 'UnqID', 'CQTitle', and 'DteofAwrd' when created in the SP library.

When I add a component I can only see 'Get items' not 'Get item'. Also, where do I find the address of the Power Apps form where the button is located? I started a new flow from the actual Power Apps form, assuming it would take that information with it. However, when I search sites I don't see a 'Power Apps' site option, only SP list and folders.

Okay, I've got an update...

The 'Get items' is not giving me any Dynamic content options from the SP List.

Using this...

concat(outputs('Get_items')?['body/LicNo'], '-', outputs('Get_items')?['body/Park'], '-', outputs('Get_items')?['body/LastPmpDte'])

...get's me this in the SP library...

--.(file extension)

Hi @Anonymous ,

Based on the formula that you mentioned, I think there is something wrong with it. You should add "Get item" action in your flow, rather than "Get items" action.

So you should modify your concat expression as below:

concat(outputs('Get_item')?['body/LicNo'], '-', outputs('Get_item')?['body/Park'], '-', outputs('Get_item')?['body/LastPmpDte'])

Note: Do not append a additional 's' to the 'Get_item'. Please make sure you have added a "Get item" action into your flow rather than "Get items" action.

I tried the 'Get item' (no 's'). Neither gives me any 'dynamic' option to choose a 'PowerApps' site. YOUR example shows and address for a PowerApps site (PowerApps – https…com/sites/PowerApps), and a PowerApps list (20190816_case6). ß It’s is this PowerApps information the ‘Get item’ is not showing me, and that I can not locate.

My 'Get item' only shows me SP lists, no PowerApps list.

If I choose the associated SP list from the Get item' and use the coding you provided, the flow works, but it creates a 'file' for every entry on the List in the library. My test was on the apparatus list. There are 83 pieces of apparatus. Your code, with the 'Get item' pointed on the SP list created 83 files.

I need the flow to get the file name components from the PowerApps form with the attachment control is located. I have not been able to figure that part out. I believe your concat works I just can't seem to complete the Get item part.
