Form edit not updating with gallery selection - showing previous form info

Hi,

I built an app to manage SQL records representing software licenses. There are 2 hierarchies in the system: Vendor catalog (Parent), and individual licenses (Associated to vendors). I have 2 ways to search for individual licenses:

• List vendors screen w/ gallery -> Drill down to individual licenses -> Edit licenses (in this example, vendor "ZZZTest2")

Clicking the pencil to edit, opens the license editor form with details from that record (no issues here).

This works just fine. The second method below is where I'm having problems.

Here is where I'm having a problem. Instead of populating the license editor form with data from Vendor AAA: TEST1, License 0, the app pulls up the license edit form with details from the last license selected under the first method above (Vendor ZZZ)

I'm not sure what's causing this issue. I'm using the same form for both search options, and calling the form with "ResetForm('License Editor');EditForm('License Editor');Navigate('Individual License View',Fade)" on both screens so I'm not sure why it isn't resetting properly.

Actually we really need to take a look on Item property of the 'License Editor' form, i'm pretty sure that the problem comes from there.

@gabibalaban Right you are. It looks like the Form item is populated from the detail view, and not the other. Is it more efficient to create a variable that is passed between the 2 different search methods, or create a clone of the form and have it populate based on the summary screen?

The form is the same right ? Well you don't need to clone it. Use a global variable to pass the primary key to the form screen and set the item property to

LookUp(datasource, primarykey=globalvariablepassed) 

also you should check if inside the app exists the ResetForm(form) and EditForm(form) functions called in the right place (having the previous values populate the form could be a sign that you are not using efficiently the 2 functions).
