Gallery search is not showing all items

Hello Everyone ,

i have an app. for task management, with login page to add User Email and Pass. then i created Global Variable (CC) to catch the username for login and to filter the next screen Gallery by that logged user . and it works fine !. however it didn't get all the related records for that user , keep in mind that all the records about 1000 record or less .

it just gives me one type of records with specific status only ex( Task completed ) , but there are other status for that user like (Not completed , postponed,..etc) .

this is the code that i added in the galley search

Search (Table2,CC,"Email") . where CC is the variable for the Email . Table2 is the Data Source , Email is the column name that i am doing this filter on it .

is there any one can help me in that please !

Also, what is the

Set(CC,yourFormula)

in your app, and where is it defined in your app ? (which control, and which property)

i did this test with limit (1) then i changed it to 500 then to 2000 . in every time it gives me 11 record only out of 120 record for that user with Completed status only

@abdelrahmanHon

Tell me the formulas that CC are being Set, which Control(s) and which Property(ies) and what's the formula(s) you are using.

Control : TextInput1 = Username

Onchange = Set(CC, Self.Text)

Try these:

1. Click db icon on left

2. Click Ellipses near Excel data source

3. Click Refresh

If above does not work.

Create a new Gallery. Put the Filter in there. See if the issue is still there.

Keep the old Gallery in case you need it, even if it resolved the issue, so you can see why it happened, or in case there was something in the old Gallery you need.

Or if you are sure you don't need anything, just delete the old Gallery if the new Gallery fully solves the issue.

If the above does not solve the issue, tell me, I'm still not too sure why you experience this issue yet.

Thanks too much @poweractivate : when i did refresh it works perfectly . Thanks again

@abdelrahmanHon

Yes, you especially have to do this with Excel. I recommend use SharePoint at some point if you can in future.

If this is a reoccurring problem, try using the formula

Refresh(yourDataSource)

formula in the OnVisible of first Screen of the app,  maybe it helps so you don't have to keep doing the steps with the ellipses.

If you do this, make sure to create a new Screen that is blank, and then click the blank screen, and then click the screen with the OnVisible formula, this is the only way to fire the OnVisible in the Editor (the OnVisible only fires automatically in the live, published App). You would do this clicking of the blank screen and then the OnVisible screen each time you are in the Editor and have changed something in the Excel data source.

If the Excel data source changes frequently, the above formula in OnVisible of the first screen of the app, could help with the data being updated on the live published app as well, to see more updated data more often, without you having to do the ellipses steps and then save and republish the whole app each time some data changes.

If the above formula has no effect at all, unfortunately you must always repeat those steps I have with the ellipses instead.
