Hello Everyone,
I have an application in which users enter their daily tasks which are assigned to them in their day to day work, and to monitor which are completed or pending,
Now, I want to generate a report for them (which is a Requirement) in which they can see in table format all of their tasks by each day either completed or pending.
for this I have done something like that but its not what they wanted, I have used an HTML text control, in which I have wrote some html code to display the values and when the user clicks on the button it will generate the PDF and save it to the OneDrive of that user.
But, I want to have the user to see a table like format in which all of the tasks are listed down by each day, having information like:
Date, Task Name, Status and etc.
I actually want to generate and print that report directly from PowerApps.
screenShots Attached for reference.
PDF Generated and Saved to OneDrive.
Any Help in this Please!
Thanks

Hi @MH3 ,
Change to code to
Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2
this automatically detects HTML.
Also change your width to something like 800 (pixels) rather than 100% or it will display completely across the email body.

Ok @MH3 ,
Different issue - it has been this way since the start of the post. HTML will only display what you provide it.
You need to convert this back in the collection Text(Date, ShortDate) and Text(TimeSlot, ShortTime)

@MH3 ,
You do not need to do anything to your HTML (other than look at my much condensed version which should work fine).
You need to follow the Flow process to send it to OneDrive, Convert it to a PDF and then attach it to an email. I am not a Flow expert - I write them for what I need to do (and I did the one I sent you some time ago), so there are people over at the Power Automate Community who would do this better.
@MH3 ,
The three pieces at the top are simply "Ask in Power Apps". The file name in mine is different due to what I am doing - you can either use what you have now or also Ask in Power Apps.
Have you written a Flow before?
Hi @MH3 ,
You cannot "print" anything directly from PowerApps. You have already done most of the work in generating the HTML, but if you do not want to use a Flow, do what I do and email the formatted report back to the user
Office365Outlook.SendEmail(
User().Email,
"Report for " & YourReportDescription,
YourHTMLBoxName.HTMLText
);
Notify(
"An email has been sent to you for this report",
NotificationType.Information
)
and they then print the email if they really like keeping paper.

Dear Sir,
I am facing some issues, I had watched a video on youtube of Shane Young he shown how to print the PDF from PowerApps, but the problem he is using a flow and its creating the PDF file in the SharePoint List, and I don't want the user to navigate to sharepoint to a folder and open that PDF.
Emailing the User will be more better than that, as I have changed the HTML Code:
"<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<style>
Table, th, td {
border: 1px solid black;
}
</style>
</head>
<body>
<h2>PDF Viewer</h2>
<p>This is Drectly From Flow to Export PDF.</p>
<table style='width:100%'>
<tr>
<th>Date</th>
<th>Task</th>
<th>Time</th>
<th>Status</th>
</tr>"&Concat(TrackGal_1.AllItems,"<tr><td>"&Date&"</td><td>"&Task&"</td><td>"&TimeSlot&"</td><td>"&Status&"</td></tr>")&"</table>
</body>
</html>
"
and The HTML Text Box Shows :
and I inserted your code over here on this button:
I was using a Flow on the Select of the button but I liked your email Idea and it might work.
It Worked but the Email I got is not in Table Format its like an HTML Code:
Can you help!!!

Dear Sir @WarrenBelz
Yes, it Worked.
I will mart it as a solution but I have one problem,
when I type any conversion it gives me an error within this tag.
"<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<style>
Table, th, td {
border: 1px solid black;
}
</style>
</head>
<body>

</tr>"&Concat(TrackGal_1.AllItems,"<tr><td>"&Date&"</td><td>"&Task&"</td><td>"&TimeSlot&"</td><td>"&Status&"</td></tr>")&"</table>
</body>
</html>
"
First: The Date should display only the Date, (how can I do conversion under HTML), and the Time should display only the Time (How do I convert it into ShorTime in html).
see ScreenShot
Second: is there any way to email that html table into PDF format?
Please Help.!
Hi @MH3 ,
You don't need most of that to render HTML in an email body (or in a PA HTML Box) - try this
"<h2>PDF Viewer</h2>
<p>This is Drectly From Flow to Export PDF.</p>
<table border='1' width='800'>
<tr>
<th>Date</th>
<th>Task</th>
<th>Time</th>
<th>Status</th>
</tr>"&
Concat(
TrackGal_1.AllItems,
"<tr>
<td>"&Date&"</td>
<td>"&Task&"</td>
<td>"&TimeSlot&"</td>
<td>"&Status&"</td>
</tr>"
)&
"</table>"

Sir @WarrenBelz ,
Actually the thing is that the Date Field is displaying Date and Time Together, I want to display just the date,
same for the time it's displaying Date, I want to display the Time only.
I can't do any conversion with those html tags.
Check this The Date Column and the Time Column
Only Date for Date Column and Time for Time Column respectively.
