Get values from custom fields and return value to text field

Hello,

Please I am trying to get the values of some custom fields from user table and return the values to text field.

I have three custom fields in the user table; the logic behind it is if textinput1 equals 60 then fetch from the two custom fields that have 60 related and return the values of these two custom fields to textinput2 and textinput3.

Any help will be appreciated.

P.S: I am a bit new to building power apps and using power query.

Hi @bass3y 

Please try adding the below formula in Default property of both textinput2 & textinput3 controls: 

textinput2: LookUp(user,customfield1= textInput1.Text).customfield2

textinput3: LookUp(user,customfield1= textInput1.Text).customfield3

Please modify the customfields as per your need.

Thank you so much, it worked! I wanted to do the same for a drop down (combo box) with datavalue.

I tried LookUp(user,customfield1= DataCardValue).customfield3 but it did not work. Please do you have an idea what I could be doing wrong?

Pls try the below formula for combobox:

LookUp(user,customfield1= DataCardValue.Selected.Value).customfield3

assuming, DataCardValue is the combobox control.

Please I am trying a different logic for the combo box with DataCardValue.

I want to return the exact value of a custom field on the user table, based on the logged in user.

I tried the code below on the Item property:

LookUp(Users,'Primary Email' = User().Email) = DataCardValue.Selected.Value).customfield

 But it did not work. I know I am not supposed to use the equal to sign (=) in front of "datacardvalue", however, I am not sure how to achieve this.
