Having issues with the appending of new updates from a PowerApps-SharePoint form

I tried to follow this Blog to create a repeating section:

Steps:

1. Create a list column of type multiple lines of text in your SharePoint list to store the data from repeating section. Just like here I have a column named ‘Repeating Section Data’.

2. In PowerApps screen, add the edit form which will be connected to your SharePoint list and hide the column ‘Repeating Section Data’.

3.The repeating section cannot be created inside your form. You must create the section outside the form.

Add a gallery with the controls you need to save data for the repeating section and a ‘x’ (cancel) button. Also, below the gallery add a ‘+’ icon to add rows and a save icon to save data in all the rows. 
( THIS IS ONE Area where it blows up when I run the code the it does not do the  2.1 etc... on updates, )

Not sure where the Error is on the above.

6. Edit the Fields property of the gallery and add the respective fields to each of the controls.

7. Now, add the following code in the cancel button of the gallery. 

RemoveIf (CollRepSec, SrNo = ThisItem.SrNo);

8. In the ‘OnSelect’ property of the save icon add the following lines of code:

10. Now add the variable ‘RepSecCollString” to the Update property of your ‘Repeating Section Data’ data card in the form.     

According to the blog I'm to get the 2.1 2.2 for the number.. I do not 

however I do get a scroll bar which allows me to update items  by clicking the + add new row

and in the list I'm supposed to get this:

I kind of get this , however the issue is that when I go to access the item entered , say like 15 minutes later, the app wants to delete the prior entries and replace it with the new one.  I need all the entries to remains and new entries to be added or appended for  updating for over 20 times, where in the code is preventing the addition of new updates to a item and keep the prior items entered.

@SPS-DEV-22  - I have not went through this in detail, but one issue I see is in the following - where you are collecting data  into 'CollRepSec', but then also referencing that same collection name in the second part of the Collect sytax.

This may cause a circular reference issue - also I don't see where this same pattern has been used in the original blog

the main issue is the app kind of works, however if enter 1 update and then wait to do another update later in the day it overwrites the 1st update and enters the new update over it.. it doesn't append to the column, just writes new data.

So are you saying remove the (CollRepSec) part of the code below?

I removed the (CollRepSec)  seemed to work. however, when i did a refresh of the list.. then the updates were no longer there area blank as if there were no items in the column.  how do I get the app to remember the prior entered items?

where in the code would I put something in to keep it from writing over previous data entered. I can enter things then come back later and then the new entry clears all prior data?
