How do I create a save state of the app?

I have been given an application to perform general housekeeping inspections that was developed by another department to maintain and improve.

Currently the app has no save state as such if the app crashes or an inspection needs to be interrupted and returned to later, this data is lost and the user needs to start from the beginning.

In this use case, what I would like to accomplish is the following:

• A save button which will save the current state of the app including entered data.
• A continue button which will load that save state, entering the previously entered data into the form fields and navigate to the screen you last saved on.

Due to the nature of the app the form is spread into sections across 27 screens.

Each screen has a button that patches the data into a collection.

I've read about the SaveData() , LoadData() & ClearData() functions and I think it may be possible to use this but I have no idea how to lay this out to use it as envisioned.

It is preferable to keep this savestate offline as the user may not have network coverage during inspection.

Is this possible? if so are there any example of this method being used in the way required I can work from?
I've seen examples of Save/LoadData() being used in a gallery method to display the data but I can't find one that renters the information into form fields and navigates to the screen you were last on to continue.

So this funcitons will help you. Save Data will save the data in your device, Load data will load data from your device and clear data will delete it.

I'm fairly new to power apps so bare with me, from my understanding;

I can use SaveData() to save my collections to local storage and then LoadData() to restore that information back into my collections should the app be close mid inspection for any reason.
That much I understand.

How do I take the collection from LoadData() and insert that in to the correct fields within the forms across multiple screens and then take the user to where they left off?

Form split across 27 screens (so 27 forms).

Use Case Scenario:

user fills in 8/27 forms (screens)

user hits save button to action SaveData()

app closed.

App reopened

user hits continue button to action LoadData()

data is loaded into the collection

data in collection is entered into the fields on the forms

app navigates to screen 8/27 where the user hit save earlier.

That has to do with defaults.

Imagine that you have a Local Collection called localCol:

ID	Name
1	Name1
2	Name

To Load that collection into a Collection in your power apps you do this:

LoadData( MyCollection, "localCol" )

After that, you cna insert a label and do this, for example:

First(MyCollection).ID

That will show the first ID from the collection
