Hello everyone,
I recently built an app intended to be used by hundreds of people in my organization.
The app is connected to a SharePoint list and the user is required to insert some information which input to that list.
The problem is, that every user that access the app for the first time, gets the following pop-up message -
Now obviously, if you click "Fix connection" and then "Allow" it works and transfers you to the app.
The problem is, that many of our users aren't very technical (and non English speakers),
and might not understand what they are supposed to do in this step.
It makes me wonder, why from the first place, does it ask to fix connection to SharePoint?
Is there any way this pop-up prompt can be avoided and just get the user straight into the app?
Thanks

Hi @DBO_DV
Thank you for your reply.
Would it make that pop-up completely disappear even though it's not just saying "Allow" or "Don't Allow" but also asking to "Fix Connection"?
Hey @Talko ,
I just did a Quick research. Since I never had that problem, with the fix connection.
In my head this should have worked but apparently this is a bit more complicated. I found this thread: Power Apps and Fix Connection on first use - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)
Hi @Talko
Yes, there is a way to bypass the “Fix Connection” prompt in Power Apps. This can be done using PowerShell commands. Here are the steps:
Open Windows PowerShell in Administrator Mode: Go to the Windows start menu and search for Windows PowerShell. Run Windows PowerShell as an administrator1.
Install The Power Apps Administration PowerShell Module: If you have never used a Power Apps Administration PowerShell cmdlet before, you will need to install the module. Type these commands into the PowerShell console1.
Get The Power Platform Environment ID: To find the Power Platform environment ID for the app, open make.powerapps.com and navigate to the environment where the app is located. Then go to the Settings menu and select Developer resources. Copy the Environment ID from the Developer resources menu1.
Obtain The Canvas App Unique ID: Click the three dots beside the canvas app and then select Details. Copy the App ID from the Details menu1.
Enter The PowerShell Cmdlet To Bypass Consent: Use the following command, replacing [Guid] with the ...1:
Set-AdminPowerAppApisToBypassConsent -EnvironmentName [Guid] -AppName [Guid]
Please note that this command should be used carefully as it bypasses the consent form for all users of the app. For more detailed information, you can refer to these resources:
I hope this helps! 😊Feel free to mark my response as the solution by clicking"Accept as solution" if it resolved your issue, so others can find the answer. If you found the content helpful in other ways, you can show your appreciation by giving it a "Thumbs Up".
Hi @Muzammil_069506,
Thank you too for the response.
So you and @DBO_DV suggested technically the same method,
Now the question is, will this bypass, avoid both the "fix connection request" and the "Allow and Don't allow" prompt? And if it will, does it mean it will automatically "fix" the connection? or will the connection be broken and the app won't work as expected?
Hi @Talko Connection will work fine there should be no issues if you follow the process correctly
I just finished my continued research for you. The Bypass will create a new fixed connection for you.
You will not have a broken app afterwards because of broken connectors.
