Login Form Check Condition Before Allow Access

Dear All,

I am trying to create a custom login form everything is good i can login normally but i have one problem i need to achieve the below results:

1. Username

2. Password

3. Designation

Based on above 3 condition i need to check if the user is "Manager" he will have access on form1, if user is Supervisor he will have access on form2, if user is staff he will have access on form3 vice versa.

What i did is i created custom form and placed 2 textboxes for username and password then one combobox to slect the designation based on this form authorization should happen first level is okay problem is when i am tryinh to add more condition i am having problem invalid arguments etc etc, belwo is the code

If (LookUp(Users, Title = username.Text, password) = password.Text, Set(ErrorMessage, ""); Navigate([@BrowseScreen1], ScreenTransition.Fade), Set(ErrorMessage, "Wrong account name or password"))

Or if possible after succesfull login based on user designation if i can disable some fields that will be also great then no need for above method.

If you have a list of Users with their designation then you could just use a lookup with a the current user value to set a variable. Then you could use that variable to hide or disable fields based the value.

You would had something like this in the OnStart or OnVisible:

Set(gvUserDesignation, If(IsBlank(LookUp('Users' , User().Email = username.email), "No designation", LookUp('Users' , User().Email = username.email, designation))

Before i proceed with the above formula kindly advise about the below code as it says invalid argument the requirment is to match the username, password and designation to get access on the forms.

If i remove the designation  = desgslct it works fine.

Is the designation field a Text, Choice or Lookup field in the Users SharePoint list?

If the designation field in the Users SP List is a drop down (choice field) then "Designation = DesgSlct.Selected.Value" needs to be changed to "Designation.Value = DesgSlct.Selected.Value"

Thanks Jeff, it worked perfectly, one more thing for i have numberic keeypad to pass the values to textbox Password i want to achieve the below:

Wehn button1 pressed the value wil be added to password textbox 1 and when i pressed button 2 the value wil be added to textbox password 2.

I am using variable txt in Updatecontecxt but it keeps replacing the values in password textbox like when i press button1 thextbox has 1 and when i press button2 textbox now have only 2 the value is basically replaced but i don't want it to be replaced i want it to keep to make password pin of 6 digits lets say 123456. Below is code i am using.

When Onselect button1

UpdateContext({TXT:"1"})

Wehn Onselect button2

UpdateContext({TXT1:"1"})

and on textbox default property

TXT

When i try to add multiple varible on default property of the textbox nothing is happning means no value passed.

Hello Jeff,

I manged to get the above requirment working but now the issue is once the user input wrong password the reset function which is set on login button bring the default value but i need to clear the textbox to enter the new values and the numaric keypad misbahaves like the keys which i already pressed to enter the password when i press these keys again no input goes back to passord textbox only the option i need to reload the application then it is fine. Please advise on this the code i am using on passord textbox default property is

TXT & TXT1 & TXT2 & TXT3 & TXT4 & TXT5 & TXT6 & TXT7 & TXT8 & TXT9

TXT's are hte variables being used to have the when buttons pressed value. I belive i am doing some mistake.
