Make on Date Picker Default to 2 days before another Date Picker Field

Hi All - done a bunch of searching on this and I've found solutions that appear to be what I'm looking for, but when I try to type the formula PowerApps is giving me an error. I have one date picker field "Internal Due Date" I need it to default to 2 business days prior to date picker field "Due Date to Regulator" I've been trying to use "DateAdd" function: DateAdd(ThisItem.'Due Date to Regulator', -2, TimeUnit.Days) Just don't know how to specify business days.

Hi @Crys686 

To specify business days in the DateAdd function, you need to use some logic to exclude the weekends from the calculation. Use the Weekday function to get the day of the week for the given date, and then add or subtract some days based on that.

If you want to subtract two business days from a date, you can use this formula:

DateAdd(
    ThisItem.'Due Date to Regulator', -2 + 
    If(
        Weekday(ThisItem.'Due Date to Regulator', StartOfWeek.Monday) <= 2, 
        -2, 
        0
     ), 
TimeUnit.Days
)

This formula checks if the weekday of the date is Monday or Tuesday, and if so, it subtracts two more days to skip the weekend. Otherwise, it just subtracts two days.

I think you can use a switch here based on the weekday value.
The Weekday returns a value between 1-7 based on the weekday of the date. Default is that Sunday = 1 and Saturday = 7
So if the duedate is on a monday or a tuesday we want to set the internal due date to -4 instead of -2 and

            DatePicker1.SelectedDate
    ),
    //If monday
    2,
    DateAdd(
        DatePicker1.SelectedDate,
        -4
    ),
    //If tuesday
    3,
    DateAdd(
        DatePicker1.SelectedDate,
        -4
    ),
    DateAdd(
        DatePicker1.SelectedDate,
        -2
    )
)

Hi there - this formula has worked great for me, however, I'm finding that is not updating the record until after the form is saved and then re-opened and saved again. Thus, it is having an impact on a work flow to trigger an email notification on the "internal due date." Is there a way to ensure that the auto-populated field is saved on the initial save of the form?
