Hi,

I am making an app for E-numbers. I have all of the E-numbers saved in a table as a data source ('E-brojevi' is the name of the column i am using further and values in it are as folows: "E100","E101",.....).  I have a label that somwhere contains e-number in it (example:  "This product contains E120 supstance ......"). I want to compare only and exactly only E-number from label(E120 in the before mentioned example) to my data source column 'E-brojevi' and, when found, save that particular number in a variable.

Hope I got your question right.
In the collection (E-brojevi) you have the list of reference numbers.  and you want to check if any of them are present in the text. (Displayed In Label) . Once you fin the number, you need to put it into a variable.

Steps:- 
Took a collection of Entries (in your case E-brojevi). I have the column called "Entry" which carries the values from "E101" to "E105". 
I use a button to trigger the check. You can use alternate methods too.
(tried to create a temporary collection ColTxt, with an additional column "Text2Compare". Used find function to check each record. If the condition satisfies, it will give the number )

Later I use a filter to filter out the value >0  and displayed it. You can use the same to assign it to a variable.

you understood everything except that data table is stored in excel. Since i am a beginner i would like you to show me how to compare with excel, not the collection. here is the table with "Ebroj" column:

I actually made the collections, entries collection is with entries and another ColText collection is with added column Text2Compare, but it wont display the results when i click the button.

you can import the excel/link to Excel online . Link
Let's say you got the source as "E-brojevi". (Below screen shot, you have sales for example. You can go to data connection and check the name. Try below codes.)

Button:- 

ClearCollect(ColTxt, AddColumns(E-brojevi,"text2Compare",Find(ThisRecord.Ebroj,label1.Text)));

Create a label:- 

Go to txt properties. (Initially, it will be "Text"). Delete it and write below 
First(Filter(ColTxt,Text2Compare>0)).Ebroj

Once you hit the button, it will work.

Did you hardcode the value of Text2Compare? I see it has number 23 there.

Hi @Anonymous ,
No. 23 means it found the searched text at the 23rd position. you can change the text to something else and try. Like( These products contains the text "E105"....). In this case it might be 35/or 36

It actually wont work which is strange because it wont give me any errors. I suspect something is wrong with environment. Thank you for your time and help Sir, I wish you the best in your future endeavours.
