Hello!
I want to show what I have planned on my calendar for outlook using PowerApps, I am trying to use the function:
Office365Outlook.CalendarGetTablesV2().value
I have put this inside of the Items value of a DropDownBox but I get an error doing this, what am I doing wrong?
Full code of how I want it to work (this is inside of a gallery items value), we need to replace ..date with the function date of Outlook:
Switch(
Dropdown1.Selected.Value;
"Alle agenda's";
Filter(
Planning;
'Start - Date' = SelectedDate
);
"Eigen agenda werk";
Filter(
Planning;
'Start - Date' = SelectedDate && gblUser = Hoofddeelnemer
);
"Outlook agenda";
Office365Outlook.CalendarGetTablesV2().value;
...date = SelectedDate
);
The SelectedDate is formatted like this: 27-7-2020 (dd-MM-yyyy)
Solved! Go to Solution.
Got it done myself. It was hard to figure out but I got there in the end.
Hi @Anonymous ,
Do you mean that you could not use "Office365Outlook.CalendarGetTablesV2().value" this function?
Actually, outlook connector has made a little change.
When you create connection , you need to choose Microsoft 365 Outlook connector, search for "Microsoft".
Also, you should use this formula to list calendars:
Microsoft365Outlook.CalendarGetTablesV2().value
What's more, this function will return a table with two fields: calendar id and calendar name.
Could you describe more clearly about your last part formula?
Office365Outlook.CalendarGetTablesV2().value;
...date = SelectedDate
What do you want to filter based on? what data do you want?
Since this function will not return the data of date, so it's not supported to directly filter this result based on selected date.
Best regards,
Thank you for your answer @v-yutliu-msft
The SelectedDate is a value that I use to choose dates, here is a picture: https://gyazo.com/f724b3cfeb88900ba88af67c02b85999
I click on a date and the selecteddate will be that date, in that picture the date is: 28-7-2020
I do not know how to use that function that you said. This is what I want:
I want it to get all of my outlook appointments & whenever I click on that date, it has to show what I have planned for that day. How can I aqquire this?
Hi @Anonymous ,
Do you want to get all the events based on the date that you select in the datepicker?
"Microsoft365Outlook.CalendarGetTablesV2().value " this function is used to list all the calendars, not event.
"Microsoft365Outlook.V4CalendarGetItems" this function is used to list all the events based on the calendar that you select.
The result that "Microsoft365Outlook.V4CalendarGetItems" returns includes two fields representing time: start and end.
So you just need to filter start and end based on the selected date.
Try to set the datepicker's OnSelect:
ClearCollect(a,
ForAll(Microsoft365Outlook.CalendarGetTablesV2().value,
Filter(Microsoft365Outlook.V4CalendarGetItems(id).value,
DateValue(start)<=DatePicker2.SelectedDate,
DateValue(end)>=DatePicker2.SelectedDate
)
)
);
Clear(appointments);
ForAll(a,Collect(appointments,Value))
Then the collection named appointments will be all the events that meet your demands.
If your selected date is not date value, you need to transfer it to compare with start and end field.
Just like this:
ClearCollect(a,
ForAll(Microsoft365Outlook.CalendarGetTablesV2().value,
Filter(Microsoft365Outlook.V4CalendarGetItems(id).value,
DateValue(start)<=Date(Value(Last(Split("28-7-2020","-")).Result),Value(Last(FirstN(Split("28-7-2020","-"),2)).Result),Value(First(Split("28-7-2020","-")).Result)),
DateValue(end)>=Date(Value(Last(Split("28-7-2020","-")).Result),Value(Last(FirstN(Split("28-7-2020","-"),2)).Result),Value(First(Split("28-7-2020","-")).Result))
)
)
);
Clear(appointments);
ForAll(a,Collect(appointments,Value))
You need to use this formula to transfer text "28-7-2020" to date value "7/28/2020".
Date(Value(Last(Split("28-7-2020","-")).Result),Value(Last(FirstN(Split("28-7-2020","-"),2)).Result),Value(First(Split("28-7-2020","-")).Result))
Best regards,
Thank you for your answer @v-yutliu-msft
I already get an error trying your first code: https://gyazo.com/0f4f14eb996ca1b403f6084baebef423
I had to replace every , with a ; because of my programming language. This is the code: https://gyazo.com/d4d97c7d06f68a5198cd94adc7c2fcc4
What am I doing wrong?
What I have tried to do is add a new datepicker and rename the DataPicker2 to DatePicker1, as that is the name of mine
Hi @Anonymous ,
Have you connected with microsoft365 outlook successfully?
Do you have license of outlook?
Yes, I forgot that you need to use ";" instead of "," because of region.
This formula works good on my side. Please check your DatePicker name.
Please set this formula in one behavior property , like a button's OnSelect.
Best regards,
Yes @v-yutliu-msft , I do have the connector inside: https://gyazo.com/5498b3d03ca5d9e16561cd472c022ef8
Error: https://gyazo.com/1c8657afb11a8190bc2e6d7bfa003d16
Not really sure what I did wrong, but here is the code:
ClearCollect(a;
ForAll(Microsoft365Outlook.CalendarGetTablesV2().value;
Filter(Microsoft365Outlook.V4CalendarGetItems(id).value;
DateValue(start)<=Date(Value(Last(Split("28-7-2020";"-")).Result);Value(Last(FirstN(Split("28-7-2020";"-");2)).Result);Value(First(Split("28-7-2020";"-")).Result));
DateValue(end)>=Date(Value(Last(Split("28-7-2020";"-")).Result);Value(Last(FirstN(Split("28-7-2020";"-");2)).Result);Value(First(Split("28-7-2020";"-")).Result))
)
)
);
Clear(appointments);
ForAll(a,Collect(appointments,Value))
The screenshot below is more clearer: https://gyazo.com/a0a1ee773201c3c87d6979872afd778e
It would be awesome if someone could help me out!
