Patch Causing Issues with Toggle

I have a very simple App that is being used to track attendance for training sessions. The data is simply employee names and there is a Toggle inside the Gallery beside each name for the employee to "Check In" for attendance. I have a Patch for the OnCheck of the Toggle, but this is causing the Toggle to revert back to 'false' after selecting the Toggle. It will stay 'true' after the 2nd push, but that's not the functionality I am after.

When I remove the Patch, it stays selected, so that's why I know it's the Patch causing the issues, I just don't know why. I'd be greatly appreciative of any advice or help that anyone can offer. Below is the Patch for reference:

Patch it in a single record if you are just updating a single record 🙂

Also, what's the Default value of the toggle?

We typically have 30-50 coworkers attending training at a time, so it wouldn't work to patch a single record. If there is a workaround to 'select' all Toggles that are 'true', I'd be open to that, but I'm a novice Power Apps user, so I really don't know how to approach that either. 

The Default value of the Toggle is currently blank.

Sorry, that wasn't clear - in your example you are patching a single record, ThisItem, but you have added multiple records after that instead of containing it within a single { } record, that is why I re-wrote your code.

What value is the 'true' for the toggle based on? i.e. what would constitute it being true? We can determine what your Default value for the Toggle should be if we know what it needs to represent.

No worries - I probably wasn't 100% clear either. The Patch function works - it does successfully Patch the records and information intended. But, I can't seem to get the Toggle to stay selected when pressed the first time. So, even though the Toggle reverts back to being 'unselected', the Patch is still writing back. If I remove the Patch, the Toggle works just fine when pressing it - stays selected when pressed. I just don't understand why the Patch would cause that. If I put this in the Default of the Toggle, then I cannot reset the Toggle with another button I have to reset all Toggles - even if I clear the Patched records from the source.
