Patch bringing in INTEGRATION record from Users table instead of patching blank()

I need some help and possible suggestion on how to solve for this. I am using the Microsoft built "User" table in my environment to get user's names and emails. I created my own Lookup view for my project. I am using the User table as a source and I want to patch the data to another table (TechIntake). In my canvas app I am using combo boxes to load user's name and then of course when I save my data it should patch to my dataverse table (TechIntakes). In the TechIntakes table the columns I am writing to are all LookUp data type columns (not sure if this column type is the reason it is causing an issue).  the problem I am having is that if I go into my canvas app and select a user the combo box is fine to load all the users and holds my selection, after I click on save and come back to the entry it keeps the person's name. The issue arises when there is a blank or empty value in my combo box. When I click on save it patches "INTEGRATION" to my backend data table (TechIntakes). It has no issues when I switch from User A to User B in the combo box. It is okay to patch the data but when I remove or leave the combo box empty it only patches in INTEGRATION. Why?

I have a rough idea that the look up is brining up the INTEGRATION since my lookups reference 'Primary Email' and since it is blank is is patching in INTEGRATION since it is the first value in the dataverse table. But even when I adjusted my code to account for blank in 'Full Name' it is still patching the INTEGRATION row to my backend.

Hello,

Set the variable to 'Reset' property of the combo box. e.g. resetcmb

Then add the below code after your patch function on save button click. This will reset your user name's combo box.  

UpdateContext({resetcmb: true});
UpdateContext({resetcmb: false});

So I should set the variable in the Reset function of the combo box to be true?

Combo box > Reset> Set(varResetCMB, true)

and then add the code to the end of the patch?

can you explain the logic behind this?

Okay I put that (resetcmb) in my Reset for the combo box... Then I added the code you mentioned above to the Patch and I am getting a expected operator error
