Possible to import multiple combobox values into a single form datacard?

Hi All,

I have 8 stacked comboboxes where only 1 will ever be populated at any one time based on user selection for a dropdown box. 
I'm trying to export this information to a sharepoint list to create a log but i'm having difficulty getting the combo boxes to register in the datacardvalue. 

Example: dropdown box = category, comboboxes = sub categories. I have 8 categories so there are 8 stacked combo boxes ontop with conditional visibility so only the one that correlates to the dropdown category is displayed. 
I have a form setup and i want the datacard to import any text input across the 8 comboboxes into it to capture whatever the items are that the user has selected. 

combobox.selecteditems will work for one box, i've tried combobox1.selecteditems & combobox2.selecteditems but that doesn't work. I've also tried to collate the information but that doesn't work either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try using Switch, like so

Switch(
   DropdownBox.Selected.Category,
   "Option 1", combobox1.DefaultSelectedItems,
   "Option 2", combobox2.DefaultSelectedItems, 
   ... and so on
)

If you supplied some code and a screen shot of your app I maybe able to give more specific advice.

Do you want to put 8 combo boxes in one datacard, update combo box's selecteditems based on the drop down's selection?

For example: the drop down select option1, update with combo box1's selected items.

the drop down select option2, update with combo box2's selected items.

the drop down select option3, update with combo box3's selected items,... etc.

Could you tell me

1)the drop down's Items?

2)the combo boxes' Items?
3)this field's data type?

Since you give not very detailed information, currently I could only give similar formula as @Anonymous  provided.

Set the datacard's Update like this:

Switch(
   DropdownBox.Selected.Category,
   "Option 1", combobox1.SelectedItems,
   "Option 2", combobox2.SelectedItems, 
   "Option 3", combobox3.SelectedItems, 
   "Option 4", combobox4.SelectedItems, 
   "Option 5", combobox5.SelectedItems, 
   "Option 6", combobox6.SelectedItems, 
   "Option 7", combobox7.SelectedItems, 
   "Option 8", combobox8.SelectedItems
)
  

set combo box1's Visible:

DropdownBox.Selected.Category="Option 1"

set combo box2's Visible:

DropdownBox.Selected.Category="Option 2"

set combo box3's Visible:

DropdownBox.Selected.Category="Option 3"

set combo box4's Visible:

DropdownBox.Selected.Category="Option 4"

set combo box5's Visible:

DropdownBox.Selected.Category="Option 5"

set combo box6's Visible:

DropdownBox.Selected.Category="Option 6"

set combo box7's Visible:

DropdownBox.Selected.Category="Option 7"

set combo box8's Visible:

DropdownBox.Selected.Category="Option 8"

Yes, sorry for being vague.

The 

1)the drop down's Items?
These are a set of locations reading from a sharepoint list

2)the combo boxes' Items?
Combo items are vehicles at the location reading from a sharepoint list

3)this field's data type?

The field type in sharepoint is Choice with multiple choices selected

Happy to change the field type if it makes it work, i was just reading another post for something similar and they suggested users who want to have multiple inputs in a combo box to have something like that

Currently the combo box visiblity is set to: If(Combobox.Selected.Result="dropdown category",true,false).

Please tell me the fields data type that are related to drop down and the combo boxes.
