Power Automate Flow in Teams

I have created a very complicated Power Automate flow and I would like to duplicate it to apply it to another dataset.

When I save it as a copy, it DOES NOT appear in my Power App development environment for my team. It DOES appear in the Power Automate web application but because it's trigger is calling through Power Apps I have no way of triggering the flow.

What can I do?

When you save a copy it always starts off turned off, I am assuming you have turned it on after the fact? I forget that step alot myself. If that is good, also make sure you goto the powerautomate tab in powerapps and click add flow +, if all that is good you might try saving a copy then opening it for editing and removing the call to powerapps and readding it manually then see if it shows up.

Unfortunately, I tried your methods, and it does not work.

I ran a successful test of the flow and even tried to replace the trigger.

It shows up in the web app but not in the teams app, I am also in the same environment.

Ah, I know some things show up differently in teams vs the web builder, I would guess it might be related to that. I don't have any apps built in teams, just the web browser, so I am setting one up now to see if I get same results as you did.

Thanks Rob, I like to make apps in Teams to take advantage of some of the premium connectors that are automatically free in the team's version.

Ok some things that seem to be the case upon testing this.

It seems the powerautomate flows made in web builder are separate from those built in teams.

Tested this by adding powerapps to my teams channel and setting up an app. I then clicked flows on the left, and then add flow. NOTHING was there and I have LOOOOOOTS of Flows.

So I clicked create new flow there, and started making one. I got ot end and it said

 ian_hayse_unable_to_add_flow_00.png

tried it 2 more times with the plain push a butotn send an email template, then once again with add an item to sharpeoint and send an email template. Kept getting that error (which simply means it hasn't been turned on, but its in teams and I can't turn it on because it doesn't show up in powerautomate web builder)

So I goto the Powerautomate tab in teams and it only shows this is a flow i made a while back directly from the powerautomate tab, changing teams flows at top to all flows shows everythign I have ever made EXCEPT the 4 I just made in powerapps INSIDE of teams

Ok so the 4 i made in powerapps/teams environment show up nowhere. click teams in taskbar and select exit so it fully exits then reboot teams and those 4 flows NOW show up but only inside the powerapps/teams environment and not in my full powerautomate web builder or the powerautomate tab in teams

so guessing the teams powerapps must live in its own "Environment" and can't see any external flows as they were made in a different environment. Probably I would recommend opening a browser split so one on each half of moinitor and just recreate your flow from scratch in the teams environment so that it will then be shareable in teams. Remember it iwll look like it fails at end of creation, but exiting teams fully then reloading it for whatever reason will turn it on and make it appear.

This is kind of odd behavior to me, and I assume wasn't how they meant for it to work so might put in a ticket.

I have known about that issue you ran into where when you make a flow in the teams app it will prompt an error. Usually if you hit the refresh button it will show up so that is not a big deal. It is pretty difficult to redo the flows I have already made which is why I wanted to copy it in the first place.

I will make a support ticket for this problem and get back to you.
