PowerApps SharePoint form"Change choice field value based on another choice filed value

Hi all,

I have a PowerApps custom form based on a SharePoint list data.

I want to change a choice field value based on what I selected in another choice field and if not, leave the default choices available.

For example: in Field 1, I select "A" and the Field 2 get's changes to "C" automatically. If I select anything else in Field 1, Field 2 doesn't change and has all the options in the default choice available. 

Is that possible?
I tried to play around with Items property of Field 2 but the following is not working:
If(DataCardValue11.Selected.Value = "A", "C", Choices([@ListName].ColumnName))

I assume there are two combo boxes(DataCardValue11/DataCardValueField2)

Please try:

1\Set DataCardValue11's OnChange proeprty to:

Reset(DataCardValueField2)

2\Set DataCardValueField2's Items property to:

Choices([@ListName].ColumnName)

3\Set DataCardValueField2's Defalult property to:

If(DataCardValue11.Selected.Value = "A",LookUp(Choices([@ListName].ColumnName),Value="C"))

Thanks @v-bofeng-msft - that actually works very nice when I preview the app in the PowerApps studio.
But it doesn't work when I use the form in the SharePoint list - any idea how to fix that?

EDIT: It does work, but only for those items, where Field2 Value was never filled. If I have a value there and now I try to change that automatically, that doesn't work.

Please try:

2\Set DataCardValueField2's Items property to:

Choices([@ListName].ColumnName)

If(IsBlank(var),Parent.Default,var)

Almost there, but now I cannot see the value selected and saved in the form if I open the same SharePoint item. But it's there on the list.

So, I thought I will do this:

For DataCardValueField2's Default property:
If(DataCardValue11.Selected.Value = "A",LookUp(Choices([@ListName].ColumnName),Value="C"),SharePointIntegration.Selected)

This should be related to the Default property of the DataCard where your DataCardValueField2 is located.

Has yours solved this problem now?

no, still having the issue.

If I change the value of the DataCardValueField2 and save it, it's saved in the SharePoint list as well.

But when I reopen the same item again, it's not visible in the form, so the field is reset again.

Still the same issue.

Here is what I have so far:

1\DataCardValue11's OnChange property:

If(DataCardValue11.Selected.Value = "A",Set(var,LookUp(Choices([@ListName].ColumnName),Value="C")));Reset(DataCardValue5)

2\DataCardValueField2's Items property: 

Choices([@ListName].ColumnName)

3\DataCardValueField2's Default property:

If(IsBlank(var),ThisItem.columnname,var)

Now, if DataCardValue11 changes to A, DataCardValue2 changes to C. I save the form, it gets closed and I can see the value in the SharePoint list.

But then again, I open the same item, I can still see the DataCardValue11 is set to A, but the DataCardValue2 is empty, like it was reset again, even thought I can see the value in the SharePoint list.

So, still no luck.

This is too strange.

Could you show me the data structure of your data source? Field name and field type.

Could you show me  the specific settings of each control in your app.I hope you can restore your environment and do a test.
