Powerapps Drop-down

Hi i have a PowerApps connected with SharePoint. There is column named  Requested for which type is as Person/group.

Previously it was single value selection field.  But now the requirement is to select multiple multiple people's in that Required for field..

I selected the SharePoint value also as multiple value selection.but i am getting error in PowerApps.

Please suggest any one solution if aware

Hi , @Ali_sam 

According to your description, you change the single selection to multiple selection in your Person column. 

So you need to convert your DropDown Control to Combo box  Control in your Form due to the DropDown Control can only support the single selection.

You can delete this DataCard and re-add it in the Form or you can unblock the Datacard and replace the dropDown to the Combo box in your side to test.

Thanks for your quick response! Can you show your Control in your Power app and the error code?

You can first refresh the data source in your app:

Combo box(DataCardValue) -items:

Choices([@PersonMultie].'Mail CC')    ====>   Choices(Your DataSource Name.ColumnName)

Combo box (DataCardValue)-DefaultSelectedItems:

Parent.Default

DataCard-Default:

ThisItem.'Mail CC'     =====> ThisItem.ColumnName

Thanks for your quick response!

Can you try to delete this Datacard and then re-add it to test?

Or can you try to create a new Form to test if contains this error code?

This error code means here still need to have a record value(single selection).

Hi , @Ali_sam 

I test it in my side , if you modify single selection to the multiple selection in your SharePoint List. In Power Apps , it will return error code as same as yours.

Only when i re-create the Form , the error code go away , you can try it in your side.

Hi @v-yueyun-msft . I tried this is working...

I am facing another issue regarding this.

Like on homescreen/BrowseScreen i am showing the individual request values. Previous when it was single requested for i used a label and on its text property i used ThisItem.CloumnName. it was working.

But now when it's multivalued. It's showing error as expected text value.

Can you help in this.?

Hi , @Ali_sam 

Do you mean you want to show the Text in the multiple selection person column?

You can try to use the Concat() function to get the Text:

Concat( ThisItem.'Mail To' ,DisplayName,";")

Concat( ThisItem.Requested_For,DisplayName,";")

Concat(ThisItem.columnName,  FieldName in the Table,";" )
