Powerapps add new value to choice column

Hi,

Does anyone know how to add a new value through powerapps in to the choice column?

This is example of my powerapps form:

ChoiceList is one choice column.

Based on the screenshot that you provided, I think you have something wrong with the formula you typed. You have missed some ')' symbol within your fomrula.

Please modify your formula as below:

ClearCollect(
             AvailableOptions;
             Choices(TestnaLista.Poslovnica)
);            /* <-- You have missed ')' symbol here . The ';' maybe ';;' on your side */
ForAll(
       TestnaLista.Poslovnica;
       If(
          Poslovnica.Value <> Blank();
          Collect(AvailableOptions; Poslovnica.Value)
       )
)            /* <-- You have missed ')' symbol here */

Please take a try with above formula, then check if your issue is solved.

Then set the Items property of the ComboBox within the ChoiceList Data card within your Edit form to following:

Distinct(AvailableOptions, Value)

I can't create the new collection either using this code or collect("nameofthenewcollection"...) it tells me that the collection must already exist, how do i create one to use temporary?

Where did you insert this? in the Onvisible of the screen? I can't create the new collection AvaibleOptions, where and how did you create it?

Could solve that already, but it isn't working for me. The new value does not add to the choices. Could you please explain how to do it? I already set the onvisible property of the screen and the Items value of the convobox.

This is a great solution for choice-list, but this doesnt work for lookup-list.

Could find the same solution for lookup?

I'm trying to use this code to have the same solution, but I found an error saying that the .value is returming a table and it can't be compared with the Blank()

Hi,

I have exactly the same requirement you solved here.
I've tried your solution in my app. I have a form including a combo box and I need to insert a new value in it. The combo box items come from a choice field of sharepoint list:

I have set the Update property of DataCard as you suggested:

To test I have also added a text showing the value in DataCard.SearchText:

When I type something not included in the combo box item everithing seems to work properly. The value I typed i both showed in the combo box and in the text box:

but when the combox lost the focus both datacard and text box lost the search text previusly inserted:

What I am wrong?
