Hi Team, I was wondering if you can help me?
I am very new to Powerapps - but I was wondering if it was possible to create an app which can allows multiple users to post questions and then allow team members to put a vote on the different questions (e.g. thumps up /Like counts)? Ideally would want the list of questions to be ordered based on the number of likes received.
I have created a basic Sharepoint list which captures Employee Name and Employee Questions.
Thanks, Manny.

Can you help me with the question how to manage it that you only can like or click the button once per user?
And how you sort your table by the digit of your numbers so that the highest is at top and so on.
Would be very thankful.
The answer to your first question is described earlier in the thread:
For your other question, have a search on the community for using Sort() and SortByColumns(). If you're really stuck, try posting a new question to get more responses.

Yeah i know that you explained it there but tbh i do not understand how to implement it into my powerapp. I tried the code below, could you say what code i would have to put it that it works? Thanks for your help man and sorry for the question i started with powerapps 2 weeks ago

Your current Patch() will always increment the Gefallt field in your table by the value of 1. Now, what you want to do is build in the functionality that checks for a condition to be true/false to decide if the Patch() should happen or not. The choice depends on how you want your app to function. The two ways I described for the other user are:
Does that help? If it is still unclear, please post in a separate thread with a link back to this one, so we don't confuse other community members.

Hello, I have similar problem so I want to ask a couple of things.
1) Where did you write your function for square that show the vote score? Is it written on OnSelect?
2) How did you add clickable upper hand to all of the line? Did you add it manually to all of the questions?
Could you please share you did as I need to perform the same
Another way is to make a table that keeps records of all users and all items they have "liked". Then, you would do a LookUp() on this table to see if the current user has liked the current item, and if not then you allow them to continue with the Patch(). You can do this with a single table that has columns for User, Item, and Liked. Adding a Like means to Patch() a new row to this table. Adding up Likes means to Filter() the table by Item and Sum() the Liked column.
@BCLS776 Could you please share with examples & formula pls

I would start by creating a table called "Likes" with the following columns:
Then, in your app, put the following code in the OnSelect of the Like button, assuming it is in a gallery of employee questions:
With({aLookup: LookUp(Likes, QuestionID = ThisItem.ID && UserEmail = User().Email)},
If(IsBlank(aLookup),
Patch(Likes, Defaults(Likes), {IsLiked: true}), // add a like where none exists
Patch(Likes, aLookup, {IsLiked: true}) // turn the existing record into a like
)
)
Similarly for the dislike button, put the following in the OnSelect property:
With({aLookup: LookUp(Likes, QuestionID = ThisItem.ID && UserEmail = User().Email)},
If(IsBlank(aLookup),
Patch(Likes, Defaults(Likes), {IsLiked: false}), // add a dislike where none exists
Patch(Likes, aLookup, {IsLiked: false}) // turn the existing record into a dislike
)
)
The total number of likes for a given question is:
With({aFilter: Filter(Likes, QuestionID = ThisItem.ID && IsLiked = true)},
CountRows(aFilter)
)
The total number of dislikes for a given question is:
With({aFilter: Filter(Likes, QuestionID = ThisItem.ID && IsLiked = false)},
CountRows(aFilter)
)
Hope that helps,
Bryan
I have a table restriction, is it possible to do the same thing with a collection? So far I was trying with:
OnStart=
Collect(Likes,
{UserEmail:User().Email,
ItemID: SPList.ID,
Isliked:false})
Button: OnSelect =
If(
And(Likes.ItemID =ThisItem.ID,
Likes.UserEmail= User().Email,
Likes.Isliked= false),
And(Patch(
SPList,
ThisItem,
{Voting:ThisItem.Voting+1}),
Patch(Likes,ThisItem,{Isliked:true})
)
)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
