Powerapps in Teams: generate flow via power automate pane leads to error

Hi there

I am facing an issue when trying to generate a Flow out of a powerapp while using PowerApps in Teams. It used to work fine, but when I tried to reproduce it this week, the behaviour differs:

1. I generate an App in Teams by using the Powerapps web editor and assign it to an existing teams space

2. I insert a Button that is intended to be linked to a flow

3. I generate this new flow using the Power Automate pane that is accessible in the Powerapps editor

This last step now leads to an error message:

Problem adding your service / Unpublished Solution Flow Cannot Be Installed

Interestingly, a flow is generated nevertheless, and appears as a cloud flow. In the past, a flow generated that way would not lead to an error message when being saved, and would not occur explicitely as a cloud flow (it was somehow embedded in the app that it was generated for, and didn't show up separately as a cloud flow).

Can anybody explain to me how to avoid the error, and how to generate a flow for an app which is not showing up as a seperate cloud flow? Any hints are highly appreciated, thank you very much.

Hey @ChrisBgt ,

You can create a flow with PowerApps as trigger

Then in your power apps you link your button to the already existing Power Automate flow

Thanks for your reply, @alaabitar, yes that explains how to use the generated flow later on. My question relates to the generation of the flow. A newly generated flow is not automatically linked to the powerapp, from where I generated the flow, and I don't understand why. Instead of just saving the newly generated flow, an error "Unpublished Solution Flow Cannot Be Installed" is produced.

Here comes some illustration of my issue:

1. I generate an App in MS Teams by using the Powerapps web editor (in Teams) and assign it to an existing teams space

2. I insert a Button that is intended to be linked to a (not yet existing) flow

3. I generate this new flow using the Power Automate pane that is accessible in the Powerapps editor. I create it from blank.

And here I click "save", which leads to the following error:

I click OK, and then have to explicitely click "Add flow" to add my fresh flow "bcFlowTest" to my app. If I do so, the flow can be used within the app ("lcFlowTest.Run(...)").

Any explanation why the error pops up, and an automatic assignment of the flow to my app doesn't happen, is very welcome, many thanks!

@ChrisBgt  When you get to the flow editor, try to delete the 'powerapps' trigger and replace is with the 'powerapps v2' trigger. 

Not sure it will help, but worth a try.

Hi @Mglat thanks for your proposal. I now could briefly try it out, unfortunately didn't change the behaviour. In the meantime I also opened a ticket at Microsoft, they're currently taking care of the issue, I'll post here further info on it later on ...
