Problem transfering date from PowerApps to Power Automate

Hello,

I have a flow which is triggered by a button in PowerApps. This flow basically takes a date from an Excel worksheet and transfer it to PowerApp (filling a label). I have a second flow which sends a form from PowerApps to Power Automate, including the metioned date variable. However, when this variable is retrieved from PowerApps by the second flow in Power Automate, the format is changed and also the date itself. I tried with no success using the variable in date format and in number date format. May you know why the date changes and a possible solution?

Hi @Turulense2020 ,

Have you solved your original problem?

Is the solution I provided above helpful in your scenario?

If you have solved your original problem, or the solution I provided above is helpful in your scenario, please consider go ahead to click "Accept as Solution" to identify this thread has been solved firstly.

For your second question, it is a normal behavior in Power Automate flow. Just as I mentioned in previous reply, the date time format you received is based on the "Regional format (locale)" setting you set for your Power Automate flow:

If your end users are in different regions, the date time value format they received in their flow would be different. If you want your end users to receive same date time value format in their flow, please make sure the "Regional format (locale)" setting is set to same value.

Please take a try with above solution, check if the issue is solved. If you still have some issue with your scenario, please feel free to open a new thread in our community, then we could help you there.

Hi @Turulense2020 ,

Could you please share a bit more about the whole configuration of your second flow?

Could you please show more details about the date variable displayed in your canvas app? Is it displayed in proper date format value as that in your Excel table?

Based on the issue that you mentioned, I think this issue may be related to time zone. Firstly, please make sure the "Regional format" option is set to your locale value:

In addition, when working date time value in Power Automate flow, it would be converted into UTC format automatically. In other words, when you pass the "03/28/2020" date value from your canvas app into your flow, the "03/28/2020" date value would be converted into corresponding UTC Format value automatically, so when you reference the date value in your flow, it would be the UTC format of the passed date value from app.

As an fixed solution, I think the "Convert time zone" action could achieve your needs. You should configure your second flow as below:

If you want to populate the received date value into your SP list through the "Create item" action in your second flow, please make sure your SP Site Time Zone is also set to your local time zone value as below:

Hi @v-xida-msft,

Thank you for your answer. I was finally able to solve the problem with this date value. I transfer it from PowerApps to Power Automate as a date number (it is stored in a Label) and I transform it into date format ("mm/dd/yyyy") using Power Automate.

There is a second problem: I have a date which comes from a date data card (date picker) in PowerApps. The date is transfered to Power Automate. However, the date appears in Power Automate in two different formats ("dd.mm.yyyy" or "mm/dd/yyyy") depending on the user who has triggered the flow in PowerApps (I guess it depends on the user's regional settings).
