Recollection after Clear

Hi all, 

I have made an editable grid table based on Raza Dorani (thanks for the amazing video!, Power Apps Editable Table using Gallery in Dataverse for Teams - YouTube.

On change of the drop down fields I have the following code:

If(ThisItem.Referral in colJobsUptades2.Referral,
     Update(colJobsUptades2,
     LookUp(colJobsUptades2, Referral = ThisItem.Referral),
     {
     ReferralNumber: ThisItem.ReferralNumber,
     'Sending Hospital': ComboBox2.Selected,
     'Receiving Hospital': ComboBox2_1.Selected,
     Referral: ThisItem.Referral
}
),
Collect(colJobsUptades2,
     {
     ReferralNumber: ThisItem.ReferralNumber,
     'Sending Hospital': ComboBox2.Selected,
     'Receiving Hospital': ComboBox2_1.Selected,
     Referral: ThisItem.Referral
}))

After this, there is a Button with following code: 

Patch(Referrals, colJobsUptades2) ; Clear(colJobsUptades2)

It will save correctly all changes but the collection will clear initially and AUTO collect all the Items in the list. 

Any ideas to stop this from the auto collection?

Quick question: After saving the records (patching your collection) does the auto re-collection records are the same as before or you get all records from the Gallery?

Gallery - Collection and Dataverse Items are 100% identical.

So, I hope the code you mentioned is OnChange for the fields you change.

Let's try couple of things as I feel that when your Field is refreshed after saving. It gets refreshed which triggers the change all collects everything.

Try the following updates for the fields and try saving.

I hope this helps to stop the auto populate of the collection.

Yes I confirm that the code is in the On Change property of each field. 

I have changed the old code for your code but it gives me an error probably because the Gallery doesn´t work as usual selecting, but as a Editable grid view.  The error is in particularly in this part of the code :  ThisItem.Selected with following error code: "Name isnt valid. 'Selected' isn´t recognised". 

I have added an icon with Select(Parent) but that doesn't fix the issue.

Yes, I checked the same where I had used same structure in my App.

I kept a note of that, whenever the data is refreshed on the Gallery grid, the OnChange triggers and stores value.

Although by using 'ThisItem.IsSelected' (I missed earlier), this gives collection of first item of gallery as that is Selected by default.

Although there's no change in the record so updating a record from collection doesn't matter. 

But I feel that shouldn't happen in Ideal scenario and its like a bug.

Use ThisItem.IsSelected for 1 record instead of all Gallery records.

sadly it has made it worse, creating multiple items in the collection after clicking on patch, although it keeps working with the dataverse table.
I am thinking on making each row editable individually so I can avoid using this type of code as it seems that there is sometype of glitch after patch
