Row limit on collection

I'm creating a collection from a simple Country/State term set as follows:

OnSelect

ClearCollect(AvailStates,Choices(Contacts.'State/Province'))

I then populate the dropdown control with only States within the United States by setting Item to:

Search(AvailStates,"Location/United States","Path")

Problem - Only states up to Louisiana is populating.

Any idea why I cannot get all 50 states - the term set does have all 50 states.

thx

ruth

First I suggest you replace the Dropdown with a combobox. How many are the rows?
Then check your Delegation limit at File...Settings...Advanced Setting if it increased to a little more than the number of rows involved up to 2000.

Just replaced drop down with combo box. Same problem.

The entire term set has 57 rows.  The row limit is set to 2000

Seems like the problem is in my Collection but not sure why.

I suggest you use only AvailStates on the Items of the Combobox since it already has functionality of searching.

Also do you have the state in the colloection, AvailStates: File...Collection

Finally where is the collection located

I use the search function to filter the combo box so that only states for the United States show.

But, I also tried removing everything and inserting the command Choices([@Contacts].State_x002f_Province) in Items and I get the same result. It's only pulling in values up to Louisiana from the term set but I have all 50 states in the term set.

Hi @ruth ,

Try this:
1. On App Start create your collection with the managed property

ClearCollect(AvailStates,Choices(Contacts.'State/Province'))

2. Now create a textbox and change the combo Items as below

Search(SampleList,TextInput18.Text,"Title")
In this SampleList is my collection
TextInput18 to search the text in the collection
Title is the column in my collection

See the working model below:
Search in Combo.gif

I hope this resolved your issue if you see any challenge/need further help please let me know I am always happy to do it for my community.

Krishna

That doesn't work either. Ultimately, I will create similar functionality, but right now, I'm only trying to get all 50 states to show in my combo box.  when I access the default form in Sharepoint, all 50 states are returned. but when I try to either customize a form or create an app, it stops at Louisiana.

btw - this is a term set defined in the term store and the column on Sharepoint is setup as managed metadata

In your earlier post you put the sharepoint into a collection. Then you put the collection on the combobox. Now confirm if you have records in the collection: File....Collection...CollectionName

@eka24  - yes, I had data in the collection.

Thanks, seems like an issue/limitation to using managed metadata in Sharepoint when customizing a form or creating an app.

  1. Created a test term set of 1 to 22 numbers.
  2. Created a managed metadata column in Sharepoint and selected my Test term set
  3. Tested the OOB form and all 22 numbers are available
  4. Created a Customized form and only 20 numbers are available. Likewise, I created a custom app and only 20 numbers are available.

So, there must be a 20 row limit.
