I would like to populate a label or text box with an Office365User based on their JobTitle ="Maintenance Supervisor" and their OfficeLocation = the officelocation of the current user.

Is there a way to specify that Person in the searchTerm?

Do you want to search user by job title and location?

If so, we could not specify that person in searchterm, search term applies to the following search string not including job title or location.

So, we need to use Filter() to query the jobtitle from the user list:

That works as long as I put a few letters in the searchTerm:.

However, I would like it to automatically find anyone fitting the criteria without using the searchTerm.

I'm eventually trying to populate an email list without the user having to pick.

Hi @turnerj3,

Because, you only choose to return the top 10 records from the office365Users, however I set the top parameter as 999.

You put the string as the search term, which help you get the first 10 records meeting the search string, that's why you could get the user.

However, if you remove the search string from the search term and keep the top 10, it will retrun the firsdt 10 records of all the office365Users, which may not include the Josh because this user exists in the left records not exists in the first 10 records.

Hope this makes sense at some degree.

That was just my last try. I tried 999 and even the v2 version with issearchtermrequired set to false. I believe my company has too many users. If I leave the search term blank I get nothing returned.

Well, then you need to add some search string like displayname or UPN to narrow your search.

You could add a TextInput to input your search string and modify your formula as below:

    JobTitle = "Maintenance Supervisor",
    OfficeLocation=First(Office365Users.SearchUser({searchTerm:User().Email})).OfficeLocation

     That may be what I end up doing. I was hoping to be able to leave the searchterm blank and be able to pull the supervisor automatically since there is only one per location. Say, my user list is 100,000 people but only 100 are maintenance supervisor’s. Is there anyway to make a collection of the maintenance supervisor’s without searching user?

That will be complex.

Actually, to collect all the maintenance supervisor, we still need to get all the users and then filter based on the job title. So the difficulty is how to get all the users.

Add a button control and set its onselect property to:

  I tested your code this morning. It still seems to be the record limit holding us up. I had to put "a" in the searchTerm to get any records in Col. I then added a Patch to list in the Button control. The list stopped populating at ID 999 and it was only halfway through the A's.

Hi, 

I tested your code but it returns a empty collection. When i added "isSearchTermRequired:false" in SearchUser it returns a list that stopped populating at ID 999.
