Searching on SP ID in powerapps

Im building an App based on a sharepoint list and I want to search based on the Sharepoint ID.

But when i check the colums powerapps retrieve from my SP List the ID column doesn't seem to be found or it's a very long string of data instead of the ID's shown in the SP list

Any ideas on how to retrive or convert the data because I need to build a searchfield on that SP id

Hi @RvdHeijden ,

ID is a numeric column in SharePoint and will always be available for lookup/filter, however Search only works on Text columns. You can have a Text box where the record will be

LookUp(
   SPList,
   ID = Value(YourTextBoxName.Text)
)

@WarrenBelz your formula doesn't seem to work just yet. Ive altered the formula a bit but the dropdown remains empty

My formula does work on the example I gave. I suspect you have a lookup column in the Combo Box - if so, the Id is not referring to the current list, but to the item in the other list being looked up.

@WarrenBelz naturally im the one doing something wrong but im not sure what that is.

Basically I have a SP List and the ID is one of those colums but when I use the Combobox and select the id the dropdown just shows a part of an URL

Hi @RvdHeijden ,

As I mentioned it is the wrong ID and not in any way related to the ID of the item in the list you are displaying. It is the ID of the item in the other list you are looking up with the lookup field and is really of no use to you unless you are manually writing back to that field.

In a Form or Gallery, the item you are after is ThisItem.ID

@WarrenBelz I found the id because it's called GBO ID nummer but if I want to search for that ID via a dropdown it goes wrong, can you help me with that ?
Ive made a combobox with the formula 'GBO particulier'.'GBO ID nummer' but when i open the dropdown it THinks it has data but the dropdown remains empty.

@WarrenBelz The formula seems to work or at least doesn't return an error but the dropdown opens and it looks like it shows values but i can only see blank lines so it doenst show the data.

I already tried a refresh of the site/table but the dropdown remains empty
