Select all checkbox must be unchecked when one of the gallery items are unchecked

I have a checkbox outside the gallery to select all records, and a checkbox inside the gallery to select an individual record.

I have all possible test cases working except when 
Step 1: Select all records by using select all checkbox

Step 2: Uncheck one of the items inside the gallery

Expected: Select all checkbox must be reset to empty checkmark fill, and should retain all the other previously selected records in Step 1 apart from unchecked record.
Actual: FYI, If I reset the default value of select all checkbox then all the records are deselecting along with select all checkbox.

Step 1 - set the Default to the CheckBox in the Gallery to

OutsideCheckboxName.Value

and it will check and uncheck with it

Step 2 - you simply uncheck it.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Of course, I did that earlier and 'Select All' is working as expected. However, after selecting all in step 1, when you deselect one of the items then 'Select All' checkbox should be unchecked, and retain all the other selected records.

I must admit I have never bothered with that one (and I use select/unselect al la lot) and as you have noted you are going to end up in a loop if you try to reset the box outside. I had an attempt here at setting a Variable when the box was unchecked, and then basing the Default on this not being set (then resetting the "master") but ran into the bug in galleries that the moment you initiate code from within a gallery it resets all unbound controls (so the gallery boxes all cleared).

I am afraid the white flag is raised here - I will tag @RandyHayes to see if his genius workarounds may extend to this.

As per your description, I suppose you will need to use global variables as well as context variables, see below gif which is the demo I made:

To achieve your need, steps as follows:

1\ Set a global variable in Screen’s OnVisible:

Set(varall,false)

2\ Set Default of select all check box to:

Varall

3\ Set OnCheck of select all check box to:

UpdateContext({varall1:true})

4\ Set OnUncheck of select all check box to:

UpdateContext({varall1:false})

5\ Set Default of individual check box to:

varall1

6\ Set OnUncheck of individual check box to:

Set(varall,false);Reset(SelectAllCheckbox)

But there still is limitation you could see in my demo, it would not select all when some check boxes be unchecked then check select all. Users need to check-uncheck-check select all check box to re-check-all.

I have a slight improvement, because as it is, when you select all the child checkboxes the parent checkbox remains unchecked.

So: 
parent checkbox .Default:

!(false in Concat(ChildGallery.AllItems,Child_checkbox.Value))

Also see where I adapted this solution for when the parent checkbox is in a gallery and child checkboxes are in a nested gallery. A collection is used in place of the variable in this solution.
