Sending Gallery items to Flow for Approval

Hi, 

I have a Gallery something like this 

The user should select a Check box and those items will be added in a Collection and after that on next button those collection gallery items should be sent to the flow and will send an approval 1 by 1 as per items. 


I need help on the check box and sending to flow..

OnChangeEvent of Checkbox:

If(self.value,
Collect(colForApproval, ThisItem),
RemoveIf(colForApproval, ID = ThisItem.ID)
)

Then in the defaultvalue for the checkbox

CountRows(Filter(colForApproval, ID = ThisItem.ID)) > 0

This should allow you to maintain a list of items in a collection and show which items are in the collection in the checkbox in the gallery. Then you would simply do a forAll call to the flow with the relevant info from the items in the collection.

I have created a Collection based on CheckBox selection, 

But I am confused how to build the flow accordingly? 

What will be the button code for sending to flow and Flow Steps?? @v-bofeng-msft

From power apps you can add a new flow and it will bring you to the flow creation page on power automate.

Now there are two options for the flow, first would be to create a for all loop in power apps and cycle through each of the items for approval and sending them to the flow. That would be the simplest to implement and might be the better option for you, however there will be a slight performance hit. 

The other way would be to send all of the approvals to flow and then let flow iterate through each approval and create an approval request. This is more complicated, isn't something I have had much experience with but will give you a slight performance edge. 

For simplicity sake I am only going to give you a rough outline of the first option as I think it would be the best for you currently.

Start with creating a flow from power apps which takes whatever information that you want on the approval. Think ID, name? some identifying information. Otherwise, you can simply pass the ID and do a lookup in power automate for the record and get the rest of the information from that.

Then construct your approval action:

You'll want a start and wait for approval, this is the simplest way to get the response and keep it all contained in one flow. Upon receipt check the response and update the record accordingly. Maybe update a status to approved or whatever flag your using to store that.

2. The three onedrive actions are not required, however I supply a pdf summary of information with the approval, taking a generated html report and converting to pdf.
3. The most important steps are create approval, get item, apply to each and update item. 

The reason for the apply to each and the variable initialisation at the start is that with an approval you can have multiple comments if sent to multiple people. And so to retrieve the value you need, within the apply to each I've appended the comment from each responder to a comments vairable which is initialised at the start and then save that in a comments column when I update the status in the update item action.
