Set Date Picker Value Equal to Another Date Picker Value

I have 2 date picker fields.  In the first one I select a date (dp1).  In the other date picker (dp2) it can be a different date selected by the user, BUT, I want to be able to set it equal to the date in the first date picker if needed.  

I first tried a button that would change dp2.SelectedDate=dp1.SelectedDate.  Didn't work.

I then tried to create a variable (varInputDate1) to save the dp1 date into this variable when dp1 date is changed.  Then I had a button that when pressed would set dp2 = varInputDate1.  Still no go.  Then I tried to set dp2=(Year(varDate1),Month(varDate1),Day(varDate1) but that didn't work.

So.....how do I set dp2 equal to dp1 date using a button to set dp2??

As an example, apply the following to the OnSelect property of a Button control:

UpdateContext({varDate: dp1.SelectedDate});
Reset(dp2)

Apply the following to the Default property of the second Date Picker control:

varDate

Let's add a layer to this now.  The ideal process is as follows:  dp1 and dp2 populate automatically with Default Values coming from a SQL table upon app load. 

Then if I update dp1 with a new date, I have the ability to update dp2 with dp1 date as just discussed.  The button is working just fine here to update dp2 date to dp1.

So, how do I pull up the Default Value from the SQL table upon load, but then overwrite that dp2 date with dp1 date using that button? 

The real world example here is "List Date" (dp1) and "Hours Date (dp2) both will default to what is in SQL upon load.  The issue is when I need to update "Hours Date" to the "List Date", I want a button so I don't have to scroll and pick the date.  The Hours Date can be a couple years or more outdated which is why I want to have a button to quickly change it to the List Date since that is when we would update Hours.

Regarding the second question, it depends on how you're loading your data. If you're using a Form control for example, you would follow the same steps, except you will need to ensure you embed your Button into one of the DataCards inside your Form. 

Controls in a Form can only be reset via another control (in this case, a Button) as long as the both controls exist inside the Form.

If you're not using a Form, then you will need to detail how you're loading in your SQL data in the first place (assume from a Gallery).
