SharePoint List Form: Submitting Multiple Forms

I have explained this in prior posts and have made good progress.

I have 4 forms.  2 forms for each of 2 lists. The forms are split due to required ordering of the data columns.  Only one form for each list is considered the "Master" and used with SubmitForm().

In the OnSave() for the SPI object I call SubmitForm() on my first form. That works. I get the ID back for a newly created record. That ID is set for the data in the second list (Lists are related).  I do a SubmitForm() on the second form.  That fails because of required data, which is expected. The problem is recovery from this scenario as PowerApps seems to do a reset of the forms at that point because the first SubmitForm succeeded.  I just want it to stop where it is so the user can complete the form. Is that possible?

I have another questions, SPI will only deal with a single list, the one the form is for. When adding additional lists where is the best place to load that list data? OnNew(), OnEdit(), etc.?

Are you following the splitting of forms that you reviewed in my video on it?

I would suggest doing validation from form to form rather then submitting each form.  You can hold the submit until the last form (the master form).

So, in other words, keep the user from advancing to the next form until they complete required items on the one they are on.

As for the other lists.  There is no need to load them in particular, you just add them as datasources in your app and then, depending on what you want to do, use them as that - a datasource.  If you have specific requirements on the other lists, let me know and we can always work through some design concepts.

I looked at the Validate() function and it validates against the data source.  Is there a way to force a Form validation without actually having to submit the form?  Or do I need to go field by field?

Doing validation at the data source doesn't work for me because certain fields are required based on input to other fields.  So the lists do not have all fields marked as "Required" as the app needs to do it.  I do have the Data Cards flagged as required when necessary.  Doing this one field at a time will be tedious.
