I have a problem with a customized list form in SharePoint. The problem is with comboboxes, which works when I make a selection for the first time, but if I click them again to update my choices the screen scrolls so that the text field of the combobox goes to the bottom of the screen and my choices are displayed below the bottom of the screen. Scrolling with the mouse wheel collapses my combobox, but clicking the right scrollbar and manually scrolling it further down lets me select among the choices in the combobox.
To me it seems as if this issue https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/forums/replypage/board-id/PowerAppsForum1/message-id/56573 regards the same problem and the thread says that the issue should be resolved, but as far as I can tell, the problem still exists. If I choose to render my app in classic mode, the problem goes away for single choice comboboxes, but for multichoice comboboxes it's there also in classic mode. Also, the problem only occurs within the SharePoint context. If I run the power app in the powerapps web player it works as expected, but when I use the app as new form in the modern experience for a list, the error occurs, and also if I embed the web player using a page viewer web part in a publishing page.
I've created and published the app using PowerApps Studio version 3.18104.19.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Last week I tried this again, using powerapps studio, version 3.18113.20, and now it works as expected, even when I increase the height of the app to avoid multiple vertical scrollbars. Hence I close this thread and mark it as solved. Thanks everyone for the help and keep up the good work.
Hi @Anonymous,
Which browser do you use to create your SP customize form?
I have made a test on my side, and don't have the issue that you mentioned. The screenshot as below:
Please take a try to clear cache of your browser, then try it again within your SP list, then check if the issue is solved.
In addition, please also take a try to open your SP list page using browser in Incognito mode, try the custom form again, check if the issue is solved.
If the issue still exists, please take a try to open your SP list within other browsers, then try the custom form again to check if the issue still exists.
Currently, the latest version of PowerApps is 3.18105.16, you could also consider take a try to remove the custom form from your SP list, then re-create a new custom form, check if the issue is solved.
More details about deleting custom form, please check the following article:
Best regards,
Kris
Hi @v-xida-msft, thanks for your response. I use Chrome to create and develop my PowerApps but I have tested them in Internet Explorer 11 and Microsoft Edge too. Today I updated to the latest version of PowerApps studio and recreated the app, and then it started to work properly when I open the app as from the list view in the modern experience. However, when I embed the app using a Page Viewer Web part on a publishing page based on the Blank web part page page layout, the problem remains. I embed the app using the URL https://web.powerapps.com/webplayer/iframeapp?hideNavBar=true&screenColor=rgba(165,34,55,1)&appid=/p...]. It seems as the problem relates to the height of the PowerApp, because if I remove enough columns that the main screen of the app fits within the height given to the app by default, the problem goes away, but when all my columns are added and the app is to high to fit within the 790 px that it's configured with by default, the problem returns. In my case I get vertical scrollbars both within the iframe and for the whole page, since the iframe takes up more space than what's left below the menu and heading of the page. The attached gif shows a demo of the problem as it currently stands.
On another note, I've also found a problem with scaling of the app if I try to give it a custom size to get rid of the vertical scrollbar within the iframe, but I suppose that should go in a thread of its own.
Regards
Anders
