Hello,
I have an simple case handling app that opens a gallery to a sharepoint list. One of the main fields in each gallery row is a caculated field "Primary CCS" made up from 4 other numeric fields in the same list with a - between each, When I open the app in Powerapps on Windows 10 desktop the value is blank and when I go into edit mode it says the field is invalid -see below.
But If I then refresh the connection to the list in question the value appears for all rows.
Any guidance a to why this might be happening much appreciated.

Hi @hgowdy,
I'm not sure how did you create the Primary CSS card. Can you tell us how did you caculate this column "Primary CCS"? Also ,what is the 4 other numeric fields? Are they 4 columns in SharePoint List? Or did you calculate the 4 columns inside SharePoint List?
Regards,
Mona
Hello,
Inital creation of app was from the primary sharepoint list I use wiht this app - I used simeple auto builder from the list. These rows that contaion the items are in a browse gallery.
Primary CCS fields are 4 numeric only columns in the same list, mandatory fields, none of which have default value or column validation and number must be whole numer - no decimal places - and they are not calculated.
IDPrimaryCCS1 = any number 0 - 99999
IDPrimaryCCS1 = any number 1 - 31
IDPrimaryCCS1 = any number 1 - 12
IDPrimaryCCS1 = any number 1990 - 2030
The IDPrimaryCCS column in the list is then calulated using "=IDPrimaryCCS1&"-"&IDPrimaryCCS2&"-"&IDPrimaryCCS3&"-"&IDPrimaryCCS4" and set a "Single Line of text" field.
Note this column was added to the Sharepoint list after the app was initally auto-created.

Mona,
Interestingly yesterday I noticed I had not saved/published the app in 2 months. So I decided to get the app into a working state using the PC based editor, after an open and connection refresh, then I save/re-published the app. Now when I open it on my windows 10 PC it opens correctly with the field in question OK and similar fields ok!!
I am trying to see if it will do the same on - Win10 phone/IPAD 10.3.3/Android 7.0.2/ Dell Win 10 tablet - but for some reason I seem to be having strange credential issues which I think are down to MS as some of my other SharePoint apps are having credential access issues. Will try again tomorrow and update you.
Thanks

Ok so I tried this on a NEXUS 6P android 7.1.2 and latest version of Poweraps- > 2.0.671 and intially I same problem but I found that the packge version of the app was months old and would not refresh to latest published version. I downloaded the .msapp file and deleted the app from the online source. I logged out/in of on-line bowser Powerapps and it was gone. I opened desktop Powerapps (latest version from MS store) , loaded in the .msapp and saved it back on line. I the refreshed the powerapps on my NEXUS 6P and it got the new verison and problem is gone.
It would be good to know why the inital login/refresh in this phase did NOT download the new version? I seem to recall there is a way to change the verision number on an app to force and update - am I right? Can you point me at it?
Now on my windows 10 Lumia 950 XL Dual Simm - running latest release (last night OS version 1703) and Powerapps version 2.0.677 - I still have to login (even though this handset is fully set up for the login id in question) and I see two verisions of my app the old and the new. I tried to open the old and it knew there was an issue and deleted it from the handset. On opening the newly published version it worked fine.
I also tried my IPAD Mini IOS 10.3.3 and Powerapps 2.0.676 - the latest. This time I did not have to login and I see two verisions of my app the old and the new. I tried to open the old and it knew there was an issue and deleted it from the device. On opening the newly published version it worked fine.
FYI the NEXUS 6P and the Windows 10 phone are not under Intune policies but the IPAD is.

Hello,
I missed this https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/saveandpublish/ so it might have been part of why my version did not update.
