Hello everybody! Hopefully someone can help me here:

Angel5_0-1697491785027.png

So as you can see there are two records, one was in the afternoon the other was in the morning, well both these rows have a same unique# to them, so since they're both the same, I just want to see the most recent one pop up on the gallery, hopefully someone can help, thanks!!

@Angel5 ,

I needed the field names as you have to do this

AddColumns(
   GroupBy(
      Filter(
         Sort(
            GalleryNo.AllItems,
            YourDateField,
            SortOrder.Descending
         ),
         !('Unique#' in GalleryYes.AllItems.'Unique#')
      ),
      "Unique#",
      "Data"
   ),
   "Field1Name",
   First(Data).Field1Name,
   "Field2Name",
   First(Data).Field2Name,
   "Field3Name",
   First(Data).Field3Name
)

Hi @Angel5 ,

What is the Items of the gallery presently (in Text please) and the name of the unique ID field and well as the names of all the other fields you need to display in the gallery ?

The items is:

Filter(
GalleryNo.AllItems,
Not('Unique#' in GalleryYes.AllItems.'Unique#')
)

Angel5_0-1697644403514.png

As you can see, the items is set up this way so that when it compares the bottom two galleries, I can only see the unique# that have just a No in their status, once this occurs I can see every single submission with the same unique#, but I only wish to see the most recent one. (Seeing the above picture) I would only wish to see the version of 11:38 AM.

-Side note- I also have a field called Version, so the one at 10:15 Am is Version 1, the 11:38 am is Version 2(If you see some other way to work around using these fields)

Thanks in advance!

This worked great! However I would like to follow up with this question:

AddColumns(
   GroupBy(
      Filter(
         Sort(
            GalleryNo.AllItems,
            Created,
            SortOrder.Descending
         ),
         !('Unique#' in GalleryYes.AllItems.'Unique#')
      ),
      "Unique_x0023_",
      "Data Store Supervisor Revision"
   ),
   "Submission Version",
   First('Data Store Supervisor Revision').'Submission Version',
   "Created",
   First('Data Store Supervisor Revision').Created,
   "Created By",
   First('Data Store Supervisor Revision').'Created By'.DisplayName
)

This would work fine, however since for that gallery, on its onselect property it has some parameters that it passes to another page(there are quite a lot) it would be quite a hassle to maintain this if something were to change in the original data source.

Is there a way to get the desired function that we just developed as just a single code for the items of the gallery? that way I don't have to be comparing between two other galleries, just the main one!

I'll open up a new question and tag you and mark this one as completed, thanks!!

Hi @Angel5 ,

If you set a Variable (also put the ID in the columns before you do this) OnSelect of the gallery

Set(
   gblRecord,
   ID = GalleryName.Selected.ID
)

all of your parameter fields will be

gblRecord.FieldName

Sorry for the late reply, just got back into doing this, was sidetracked by other tasks.

Can you tell me if im in the right direction here, idk if im doing this right.

/*Navigate('Supervising Reviewing',ScreenTransition.None,
{
    unique:ThisItem.'Unique#',
    project:ThisItem.Title,
    projectsite:ThisItem.'Project Site',
    'review purpose':ThisItem.'Review Purpose',
    department:ThisItem.Department,
    'project number':ThisItem.'Project Number',
    'drawing number':ThisItem.'Drawing#',
    'document number':ThisItem.'Document Number',
    'document title':ThisItem.'Document Title',
    'document type':ThisItem.'Document Type',
    version: ThisItem.'Checklist version',
    'effective date': ThisItem.'Effective Date',
    'additional comment': ThisItem.'Additional Comments',
    createdby:ThisItem.'Created By'.DisplayName,
    createdbyemail:ThisItem.'Created By'.Email,
    reviewer:ThisItem.Reviewer,
    submissionversion:ThisItem.'Submission Version'

})*/

Set(
   gblRecord,
   'Unique#' = Gallery5.Selected.Unique_x0023_
)

The commented section is what I had before, I'm trying what you told me at the bottom but idk if I'm interpreting this correctly, let me know, thanks!

**btw I had opened a new question following up what I'm asking you here, so you can answer there and I can give another accepted solution!

Hi @Angel5 ,

For the record variable

Set(
   gblRecord,
   Gallery5.Selected
)

then the field would be

gblRecord.'Unique#'
